And with the exception of the wars (911 changed the focus on such matters), Bush was exactly what he campaigned to be. Congress DECLARING war. That's the way it's supposed to work. As to the others, the Dept. of Education needs to be abolished, not added to. Medicare is going broke so hey - let's ADD to it. To: Badeye (#4) It's popular to say "Hoover caused the Great Depression", "FDR ended the Depression", "Carter caused stag-flation", "Reagan's economy", Bush's economy", Clinton's economy" etc. Of course presidents affect the economy, but I've always believed there were other factors, too. Like everyone else it seems, economists have political biases so you'll never get a broad consensus from them. If you put 10 economists in a room, they'll likely come out with at least 11 or 12 opinions. Given all that, I DO believe Zero is different, and his policies will kill what's left of the economy.
