Since spitting at black representatives, yelling racial and homophobic epithets didn't work, the right has listened to idiots such as Rep. Steve King(R-IA) who was said he was ready to "beat that other side to a pulp". They are using the true venue of real patriots...of Nazi Germany -- throw bricks and vandalize.In recent days, several Democratic offices around the nation have also been vandalized. On Monday, a former Alabama militia leader took credit for instigating the violence that occurred.
Mike Vanderboegh, of Pinson, Ala., who used to lead a group of radical fascists called the Alabama Constitutional Militia, put out a call on Friday for modern "Sons of Liberty" to break the windows of Democratic Party offices nationwide in opposition to health care reform. Since then, vandals have struck several offices:
- The glass front door of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ (D-AZ) Tuscon office was “smashed out” a “few hours after she voted in favor of health care reform.” Giffords’ spokesman C.J. Karamargin “said it was unclear if the glass had been shot out with a kind of pellet gun, if it had been kicked or smashed with an object. The door has been covered with plywood.”
- On the morning of March 19, a brick was thrown through the front window of Rep. Louise Slaughter's Niagara Falls office. Her office has also received threatening phone calls.
- A brick shattered the glass doors of the Monroe County Democratic headquarter in Rochester, NY with a note attached: "extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice" quoting Barry Goldwater during his acceptance speech in 1964.
- In Mount Vernon, OH someone spray painted the word "DORKS" on the window of the Knox County Democratic Headquarters.
- There was also a fist-sized rock through the front window of the Hamilton County Democratic Party headquarters on Sunday night.
- Also, a brick was thrown through the windows of the Sedgwick County Democratic Party in Kansas which included Anti-Obama and anti-health care messages.
So, you don't get your way and you smash things---and this is honorable? Patriotic? Nope, just deplorable, criminal and terrorism and should be treated as such.
