According to a recent Gallup survey of underemployment (the "true" unemployment number) via Zerohedge, we are now at 20% underemployment and heading higher if this chart is indicative of anything. Apparently Gallup surveyed 20,000 people over 30 days and this is what they came up with. Regardless if it's not consistent with the Department of Labor's official numbers, it's nonetheless quite frightening.

Do you want to tell them that "underemployment", i.e. working in a job for which you are overqualified, and "unemployed", i.e. having NO job, are two different things? In one you work...in the other...you don't.
Obtuse war once again stating the obvious as if everybody didn't already realize that. If you're not making enough to pay the bills, it's little consolation that you are working.
Its the economy, stupid. While Owe-bama and Queen Pelosi nationalized healthcare over the objections of the majority, the unemployment rate has skyrocketed, foreclosures are averaging well over 350,000 per month (4 million per year), and this insane goverment is patting itself on the back. They couldn't care less. Thats whats frightening.
Here's a newsflash...every insurance company that was in business Saturday is still in business today...
And essentially the insurance companies are socialized medicine. Direct pay for medical services was last popular or even financially possible for most in the fifties/early sixties. Then came Blue Cross, Kaiser etc etc.
50% of every health care dollar spent came from the US government... The GOP keeps claiming that they are going to run n repealing this bill. What, exactly, are they going to repeal. Look at the bill that they posted last year...it differs very little from what was passed...so called Cadillac plans would not be taxed and it forbids abortion reiimbursement... That's it...

We got to go waaaaay back to find any kind of unsocialized medicine. But I suppose just mentioning this puts me on the side of pro socialized healthcare to some.
