But there are certain criteria and the pathological lying and confabulation, refusing to admit mistakes; not showing remorse for mistakes, omissions or when obviously caught in a lie; the admission of using people without their consent for ones own entertainment and probable fulfillment of other needs; all add up to one who has probably has had a somewhat dysfunctional life (but more so for those who choose to stay around him). They tend to look at other non sociopath types as being not much better than cattle. They recognize other sociopathic types and generally have no use for them, considering them as rival competitors. If the behavior is more impulsive, predatory and manipulative and has led to crime and need for corrections or punishment then it might even be considered psychopathological. I must have hit a button since it's now saying I have smeared him when pointing out his inaccuracies.....indicating more non responsibility for one's own actions.
