The announcers stated that over the past 10 years Pitt has the best record overall of Big East teams, including the best Big East record...that kind of surprised me.
Did you hear about the tragedy of Coach Dixon's sister a few years ago? She was coach of the West Point/USMA women's basketball team...got them into the NCAA tournament for their first time ever...and in the off season died of some sort of heart failure...I'm pretty sure she was in her 30s...totally unexpected and a shocker to all.
I guess you figured out I'm not a fan of hockey. I remember from my teenage days hearing stats such as so and so has 58 stitches in his head and eight knocked out teeth...ugh!
I did attend one single Penguins game. It was some sort of group event. I don't remember how it turned out. The ticket price was something like $18 which I thought was high at the time. I remember our group wasn't recognized by the arena which pissed off some Major or Colonel.
I had season tickets or privileges to attend the Duquesne Dukes basketball games and I watched a good number of them. IIRC, Duquesne had the only female athletic director in the county...Eileen Livingston...she was a nice lady.
