The Establishments war on Donald Trump Title: "The Democrat Meltdown Continues" The Democrats are embracing profanity. (And in a particularly fake and calculated way.) This is an actual news article from The Hill, a MSM Capitol Hill news site. The Democrats are unleashing their inner, angry child because of the doom loop I have discussed before, and more than a smidgen of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). The Democrats are still very upset that Donald Trump won the 2024 election, still very upset that enough (true) independents embraced his campaign to win all seven swing states and a clear majority of the voters, and now very upset that President Trump and the GOP are following through with their agenda of cracking down on illegal aliens, reducing government bureaucracy and spending, trying to end foreign wars, and even fighting antisemitism. As a result, the Democrat base is on a dark woke jihad against MAGA and the Republicans, and are always pushing their own agenda to the left, to better contrast and combat the GOP. Which the Democrats believe, against most of the evidence, will help their party. A Survey USA national poll taken this month has found that 50% of Dems said they want the party to 'become more progressive,' 24% said it should 'stay the same' and just 18% said 'become more moderate.' An even more revealing poll of California voters showed that while ordinary voters want a détente with the Trump administration, Democrat voters are more interested in piling on more political combat: Forty-three percent of registered voters said leaders were too confrontational a sentiment largely driven by Republicans and independents compared to a third who found them too passive. (However,) a plurality of Democrats surveyed, 47 percent, wanted a more aggressive approach. The Democrat leadership is doing its best to appeal to its smash-mouth base voters sentiments. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries a guy who once defended Louis Farrakhan and his crazy anti-white, antisemitic uncle has stated Republicans are the party of traitors. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who was recently lambasted by the party base for not fruitlessly voting to shut down the government, is suggesting (another) impeachment of Trump. A largely unknown billionaire governor, who hopes to run for President, has pilloried his party as do nothing Democrats for their (supposed) unwillingness to fight the Trump administration. And take Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. (Please! But not really, since she is good for Republicans.) AOCs whole career involves pushing socialism and Blame America First policies, looking pretty, not doing her homework, and hating on Republicans. She is now considered one of the frontrunners for the 2028 Democrat presidential nomination, and has received the blessing of (non-Democrat) socialist leader, Bernie Sanders. (Is it only weird to me that Bernie Sanders is so beloved by the Democrat base when he refuses to actually join the party unless he is running for president?) None of this dark woke behavior is likely to work for the Democrats, however. Lets look at more polling. The RCP average has President Trump down to 45.3 percent approval, with 52.4 percent disapproving. This is down from his immediate post-inauguration high, and approaching what I have labeled a danger zone for a GOP president (consistently being under 43 percent). But it is hard to make the case that this polling depression has much to do with Democrat (mis)behavior. For example, because of their doom loop and their TDS, the Democrats have been incessantly pushing the idea that the deportation of a gang member and criminal (multiple times over) illegal alien named Kilmar Abrego Garcia to his homeland of El Salvador is some sort of an undemocratic authoritarian crime by the Trump administration. Yet, as my RedState colleague Sister Toldjah has written, the Democrats' demagoguery campaign doesn't appear to be working with voters according to a new CBS News poll, which has Trumps immigration policies up 56 percent to 44 percent. And please keep in mind that CBS polling is rather poorly done and heavily favorable to Democrats. In fact, I tend to believe that George W. Bush political advisor Karl Rove is closer to the mark on why President Trumps polling is drifting down. He believes that Trumps energetic administration, which is making huge moves on multiple fronts, including on illegal immigration, tariffs, the DOGE government cuts, the Russian-Ukraine war, the Gaza war, and many other issues, is exhausting some Americans. (I know it is exhausting my father.) This is similar to what happened in the mid-90s after the Gingrich revolution, which also involved a lot of action by Speaker Gingrich and the GOP. However, as I discussed before, I believe that revolution had no lasting effects for the Republicans in the next elections. The key to the 2026 elections, and the 2028 elections, is, as it always is, what happens to the economy, and whether there is chaos in the streets, or in the world, as a direct result of the actions of the Trump administration. The Democrats, firmly stuck in their doom loop and infused with TDS, are mostly bystanders in this drama. Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread |
