United States News Title: Texas Schools to Teach Morals Matthew 7:12 (Golden Rule) Texas Schools to Teach Morals We at LDC have long said that public schools should teach kids about God and morals if they sincerely want to cut down on the violence and school shootings that are constantly escalating. In the first 200 years, there was not one school shooting, then starting with Columbine, it was once every 5 or 10 years, and now the shootings occur at a rate of 80 times per year (over the last 3 years)! Now for the first time someone is doing something about it, and in my home state, which makes me proud to be a Texan. The Texas School Board has voted to let public schools, beginning next school year, teach verses from the Bible. Of course, the ACLU didn’t waste any time in filing a lawsuit, and has vowed to take it all the way to the US Supreme Court. As usual, their argument is that teaching the Bible shows favoritism to Christianity, placing it over other religions which is against the U.S. Constitution. Of course the ACLU is wrong, because the US constitution does not mention “separation of Church and State” anywhere in the document. It only states that we cannot establish one Church over another. Previous courts made up that false doctrine. As a matter of fact, the first public school (in Washington DC) used the Bible as a textbook! We have a new Supreme Court now (because the Clinton-appointed anti- Christs have died off), so there is hope for Texas schools and the nation. My granddaughter had to dodge bullets in order to graduate from Santa Fe ISD, and many parents took advantage of school vouchers in order to move their kids into Christian schools. Admittedly, some of the Old Testament stories selected by the state are a bit controversial. But if public schools are allowed to teach the Golden Rule (Matt 7:12) next school year, it should (in time) lead to (1) less violence and school shootings, and (2) no need for vouchers, letting the public schools again receive the funding they need. To ensure that Courts don’t side with the ACLU, teach students that the golden rule was also taught by Confucious in 600 BC! For added insurance, also teach that 1200 years before Christ, Moses taught the very similar, “Love thy Neighbor as thyself.” It is the foundation of a healthy society, and without morals, a society soon decays into living hell! Bulletin (12/16/24): In Madison (WI), the latest school shooting was committed in a Christian school, and by a girl. Both factors are extremely rare.
