Apocalypse Plague # 1 (Rev. 16:1-2) Deadly Cancers to soon Become a Thing of the Past? Plague # 1 is unsightly and deadly skin cancers, plus (arguably) other cancers as well. Skin cancer is caused by UV rays and a thinning ozone layer.
After a ban on CFC’s (in freon, etc.), the ozone layer is gradually recovering. In recent years new cases of skin cancers have begun to level off, and deadly melanoma cancers are not nearly as deadly (if caught early).
Also with other cancers, many once-deadly cancers can now be cured if caught early. Newly improved blood tests are now able to detect 50 types of cancer early enough so they can be cured (or put in remission indefinitely).
Hereditary cancers caused by defective DNA can also be cured with the modern technology available today. A medical device called CRISPR can miraculously snip out the defective DNA and replace it with a good copy.
Because this is the first plague that appeared after the Great Tribulation of WW II, we can expect (and pray) that it will be the first one to be brought to an end.
Looking ahead a bit (to Ch. 20), we are told that we will soon live to be a thousand years old. That signifies that all cancers will soon be curable, with God’s help. Vaccines preventing many types of cancers completely are even now being developed.
When the seven last plagues have run their course, the long-prophesied Day of the Lord, and a thousand years of Heaven on Earth can begin. – Barry Midyet
