Free republic banned me back in, what was it? 2018? Earlier? Because I criticized George H. W. Bush. I was angry for awhile. Then I realized that’s it’s just a website of fringe, angry men who are stupid enough to ban someone like me for criticizing H.W. “Read my lips” Bush. He lied, and I would not forget. This is an unpardonable sin to those morons. So, I found Liberty Post. Then the owner died, so I came here. People get just as mad at me here as at FR, but they don’t BAN me. FR is a very good window into WHY the hard right never can, and never will, run the show. Petty little men, trapped in their own minds, demanding ideological purity to substandard ideas, and ready like komissars to shoot anybody who deviates. This is why they always lose. I’m sure if Trump wins they’ll claim victory, but then Trump will rule according to Trump’s principles, not theirs. Some will go white with rage over Trump’s “selling them out” (example: Trump’s view is abortion on demand at 16 weeks - in other words, Roe v Wade). They will scream that he “sold out”. It’s no sellout when Trump has been SAYING THAT for years. It’s the inability of those damaged, angry men to LISTEN or LEARN anything. They’re the mob. You were one of them (as was I), but you said or did something someone didn’t like - so you’re out. That’s what men like that do. And that’s why they always lose. If you’re safety-wired to the pissed-off “I am right!” Position, without education, experience or common sense to back it, you’re goin to be wrong a lot and will become a joke to other people who know better. And if then you vindictively BAN people for thinking differently from you, well, then you’re a Freeper - a bellligerent, stupid loser.
But…when you’ve spent years of your life thinking you belonged to something, to suddenly be cut off - that’s a shock. You’re an older man, and don’t have a huge range of people to socialize with. Free Republic was that, and now you’re cut off. It hurts. You’ve invested so much time! Well, they’re gone. I’m still here, and I will talk to you. There is lots to hate about me. I’ve heard here that I’m a fat, bald (not at all), arrogant fuck. I’ve heard how I’m a shill, a sellout, a fool. Ok. But I’m HERE, and I will talk to you. It’s HARD to talk to you sometimes, because your condition makes what you write hard to read, but it is consistent. You have a viewpoint, and I’m willing to hear it and discuss it with you, intelligently, to treat you like a MAN. Freepers would not, but I will. For my part, I don’t like being insulted, told I’m stupid because I think differently than you. I do think differently, I’m not at all stupid, and I’m HERE. It was 2005 for me...my disgust with RINOZ squandering their majorities in the House and Senate and Dubyuh in the White House caused me to reject my GOP designation in favor of the Independent label I wear today. You refer to the FReeper ModSquad as men, but if that is the case, it has changed quite a bit since the late-90s/early-00s. Back then it was the famed "ZOT-kitties" (similar to "AWFLs"** these days, but these ladies were mostly Center-Right) who lurked on threads looking for posters who were the least bit critical about the GOP and Dubyuh.
