To everyone who sees them, the new James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) images of the cosmos are beautifully awe-inspiring. But to most professional astronomers and cosmologists, they are also extremely surprisingnot at all what was predicted by theory.
The site source has the verbiage but also a link for full article, which is broken.
But it's fairly routine that predictions don't work out in cosmology. Though a great many predictions do work out. It was just over 100 years ago when Andromeda was determined to be, in fact, a galaxy outside of our Milky Way galaxy.
The constant stream of mysteries, discoveries from the universe and theorizing & predicting explanations makes the field very exciting for those who can fathom it.
The problem with Creationism is that there is no experiment or observation that can either prove or disprove it. It's basically a "default" theory that one could resort to when there is no other explanation that is satisfactory for any reason.
And I say that as a Michael Newton subscriber, and he writes that the tinkering with life is something advanced souls do, which basically amounts to a creationist element in at least explaining one way new life emerges and mutates, not just on earth but throughout the cosmos.
The problem with Creationism is that there is no experiment or observation that can either prove or disprove it.
Well it can't be disproved because it is true.
But if there was some data that contadicted what is in Gods word that would contradict it.
For example the Bible says there was a worldwide flood. If that happened you would expect to see lots of dead things buried in mud laid down by water all over the earth. By God that is what you see. If you didn't see that than that would disprove it.
Another example. The Bible says that like things beget like things. If we saw for example a frog giving birth to cow (new species) then that would disprove creationism. But that is exactly what we see things begetting like things. There has in the billions of cumulative years people have lived all over the earth. Never ever even once had something been born to a creature that wasn't the same type as that creature. In that same time no plant has ever turned into something else. If things were changing like the examples I provided, that would disprove creationism. There is nothing in the Bible pertaining to the processes on earth that has ever been wrong.
Just like you can't prove that 2 + 2 = 135.6, you can't disprove creationism because it is like in math it is always true that 2 + 2 is 4.
