I don't know about that. Almost anything seems plausible with that administration and would let those pilots and structural engineers and architects (excluding Mudboy) off the hook.
I still don't see none of that structural retrofitting happening which would be a logical response.
If you weren't there you could never fathom the utter destruction those planes caused to those buildings. And anything that falls is going to take the path of least resistence.

Then why did the building fall straight down on itself. The path of least resistance would be to fall over. There is a pic I saw somewhere where the building is actually tipping over at the top. But for some strange reason it continues to go straight down instead of over to the side.

How else would it have fallen? When YOUR legs are taken out how do you fall?
And to some extent, if I can slightly revise, the tops of the buildings actually did not fall straight down but toppled over commensurate with how they had been displaced.
