COVID's over. Now it's just an endemic background disease, like flu. When it first hit, most people got vaccinated, and in that first attack of the virus on an uprotected population, the death toll was highest. Vaccine then cut that death toll sharply. But it's been going down ever since, both because of high vaccination rates, and the native immunity of people who got it and gained immunity. I think my daughter has had it (testing confirmed) four times. Now, she only knows she has it because of getting tested because other people around her have it.
Democrats crave keeping the hysteria going, because of the power it gave them. But the people broadly have common sense and won't let them.
At some point, vaccines are nearly useless, and perhaps even riskier than whatever you're trying to prevent. In Summer 2020? No. In December 2023? Yes.
Only morons took that gene editing shit. I mean really stupid people. only morons wore masks. Those mask wearers are so stupid they would put up a chain link fence to keep out mosquitos. Now the studies show I was right not to wear a mask. I mean why would you wear something that makes you more susceptible. So many weak pussies who do what they are told. bah bah bah
Well, the statistics are that at the height of COVID, the region with the lease deaths from COVID was New England, with nearly 100% vaccination rates, while the region with the most COVID deaths was the Deep South (minus Florida), with below 50% vaccination rates. So at the height of COVID, that first vaccine appears to have saved a lot of lives.
Masks did little to nothing, and I personally always hated them.
Now, everybody has some immunity from the vaccines or from having had COVID, and COVID's effects are less virulent, so it's a spent force.
The politics of COVID were ridiculous.
On the vax and mask side, the oppression was obvious.
And on the other side, the refusal to vaccinate in the first wave cost a lot of people their lives.
The survivors of both excesses are now more resistant.
China vaxxed with a vaccine that didn't work, and they suffered millions of deaths on account. Too politically stubborn to buy vaccines that worked.
