Man attacked for trying to buy drugs with Monopoly money

A Kansas man told police officers that he had been beaten and left with a head wound after he tried to buy drugs using Monopoly money.

The unidentified 33-year-old was pulled over in a traffic stop in Wichita, Kansas last Thursday, and was found to be bleeding from the head. He told officers he had attempted to buy several hundred dollars worth of crack cocaine using money from the popular capitalism-simulation game.

Police spokesman Gordon Bassham said: 'The man from whom he had bought the drugs was upset and invited him over to his house and upon arrival struck him in the head several times with a handgun and other people jumped into the fray.' The man's injuries were not serious, and he has now stopped cooperating with the police's investigation. Authorities are still searching for his assailants.

Didn't you say you're from Kansas?

How's your head feel? At least they hit you where they'd do the least damage.

Physiological needs include:

Breathing
Food
Sexual activity
Homeostasis
Air, water, and food are metabolic requirements for survival in all animals, including humans. The intensity of the human sexual instinct is shaped more by sexual competition than maintaining a birth rate adequate to survival of the species.

"The urge to have sex is so powerful that it can drain psychic energy away from other necessary goals. Therefore every culture has to invest great efforts in rechanneling and restraining it, and many complex social institutions exist only in order to regulate this urge. The saying that "love makes the world go round" is a polite reference to the fact that most of our deeds are impelled, either directly or indirectly, by sexual needs."
