Title: Happy Ending Wells Fargo donation will replace girl's stolen tricycle

The little girl with cerebral palsy whose specially adapted tricycle was stolen from her apartment complex on Monday will get a new ride, courtesy of Wells Fargo.

Bank officials pledged $2,000 today to replace the red, black and chrome trike, which was designed with Velcro straps on the seat and pedals, oval handlebars and other features that helped 7-year-old Marina Webb-Gordon ride safely.

The money will go to the Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Program in Berkeley, which will build Marina's new tricycle, according to bank spokesman Chris Hammond.

The theft left Marina heartbroken because it was the only way she could go to the park, tag along with her friends and accompany her dad on bicycle rides, her family said.

The tricycle, which originally cost $1,100, apparently was purchased by San Mateo County two years ago at the request of special education department officials and given to Marina's parents, David Gordon and Marika Webb.

Webb said her daughter started shaking and crying when she discovered her tricycle was gone and kept asking why anybody would do such a thing.

Anyone with more information regarding the whereabouts of the tricycle is asked to contact the Foster City Police Department at (650) 286-3300. (1 image)

The Bible is unique. It is the word of God. Have you ever read it? Yes it is my opinion, but a fact also. The Bible is unique because it has prophecies that have come to pass. Other reasons too of course.

For example have you ever heard of the mark of the Beast?

the bible is not unique. there are many such texts in the world and they all claim to be the ultimate truth. you have chosen to belive that this particular text, and only this particular text, is the word of God. that is your personal opinion and nothing more. others will make different claims and feel just as strongly about the matter as you do. they can defend their position just as well as you can.

the propehcies you speak of can - and are - interpreted in hundreds of different ways - your personal opinion is to interpret them in a particular manner. others interpret them differently.

no offense, but you have nothing more here than personal opinion. something you chose to believe. others have different opinions and they feel they are just as correct as you feel you are correct.

yes, and also the five thousand interpretations that go along with it. all of which have a group who passionately believe their interpretation is the correct interpretation.

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Matthew 7:15

The Bible is the word of God. Every Knee shall bow. Every other religion is of satan. Jesus is the ONLY way. Just because others believe that there are other ways is of no importance. The Bible predates all other religious texts. Only it tells the story of where we come from accurately. A story that jives with the world we live in. Only the Bible is 100 percent accurate in prophecies, they are not open to private interpretations. ONLY JESUS CONQUEERED DEATH NO OTHER RELIGION EVEN CLAIMS THIS...JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN....I PRAY YOU SEEK HIM AND FIND HIM!

no it doesn't. the hindu and buddist texts are older. five thousand years at least.

Only the Bible is 100 percent accurate in prophecies, they are not open to private interpretations.

there are hundreds of interpretations for each prophecy. you can get them at any religious book store. they are applied to both modern and ancient events. when applied to a historical event, both the prediction and the event are compared in hindsigt. pretty dubious proof.

the ultimate point is that this is only your personal opinion Your personal belief. you have no objective proof for any of this. and i wouldn't expect you to. it is simply something you have chosen to buy into. this is fine, but others have chosen to buy into other belief structures. like yours, their belief structure tells them that theirs is correct and all others are false. in your opinion yours is better, but in their opinion theirs is better. so who is correct? they outnumber you.

i am not shilling for anything. I am just stating a fact. the hindu sutras can be shown to be at least five thousand years old. they exist on rock carvings from that period. there are similar artifacts from the buddist religion. the earliest Christian artifacts are from Egypt about 2500 years ago.

If someone else choses to follow satanist paths, that is their business. I hope the repent and turn to Jesus. He is the only true way, the only way to heaven. Just because others have other beliefs doesn't make them valid or them equal with the Bible.

The Bible can be true and all the others a lie.

modern science has a nifty explanation for fossils as do many American Indian legends.

Jesus said narrow is the way that leadeth to life and broad is the way to Hell. So that is what i would expect to find in the world. Once again the Bible said the way the world would be.

The fossils are found in the highest mountains, in deserts, all over earth. There is only one explanation. A global flood.

or a tectonic uplift that buckles undersea strata into a mountain range. or the droppings of a thunderbird. the greeks thought they were protolife.

i am not saying that there is anything wrong with your belief structure. in fact, i think it is wrong to attack the belief structure of another person. for this reason i would give a hindu, a moslem, a daoist or a buddist the same consideration that i give you.

there is a buddist belief that says anyone who claims to hold the ultimate truth does not hold it.

the daoist have the same thing;

a dao that can be told is not the ultimate dao,
a name that can be named is not the eternal name.

Actuallly the manuscripts go back to the beginning. When the world was created. You can't predate that. Sure what we have today was handed down. God said it would be translated and spread all over the earth. That has now happened.

this is just your personal opinion. something you have chosen to believe. there is no objective proof of this. in fact, modern science contradicts it. if you believe this, you must pick and chose which parts of the body of scientific knowledge you will believe.

also note that circular reasoning proves nothing: the bible is such and such because the bible says it is such and such.

there is a tenet in my faith that says that which is divine cannot be proven and that which can be proven is not divine.

either this must be true or faith is unnecessary. were it not true, you could evenutally prove or disprove your religion. religion and the diety would be bounded and not infinite. hence, not really a religion or a diety at all.

if your religion has any validity at all, you can't prove it up.

if you practice your religion for yourself without regard or concern for the relationship between God and other people, you never have a problem here.

you fall into the trap of trying to prove up your religion when you try to force your religion onto others. to force others to accept your way of thinking. the natural question from the victim is 'why should i accept that?'. you have no answer that cannot be easily deflected.

i was taught that the only legitimate way to convert people was by means of example.

many adults who have never been exposed to religion feel more comfortable with what she has to offer. people coming out of recovery houses and things like that. it actually does help a lot of people.
