To: Charles_Byrd (#0) Floor Committee 6 affirms seminary education and need for pastors An M.Div degree requires 3-4 years of seminary, on top of a four-year undergraduate degree. A daunting task to be sure. No wonder there is a shortage of pastors! Especially since seminary academics are so lofty that they do not truly prepare a man to be a good pastor. A one-year Bible school is far better at equipping men for ministry than even the best seminary. Just my opinion, but based on decades of observation and experience.
