One day you're the Savior of the World, the next day even your own party sees you as incompetent. And considering the still-moribund economy, the inept foreign policy (esp. as regards Iran), the massive debt increases, and more, he deserves every bit of that abuse. All the moreso, considering that he lied his way into office, pretending to be a post-partisan centrist while actually planning to turn the US into a European-style welfare-state. (Of course, all contemporary Denocrats running for President play that same game). And yet, even the callow Obama has had his successes. No, it's not a long list, but these are some pretty important items, as Ann Althouse details:
1. By continuing to fight the wars that George Bush started, he has crushed the hope of the people who bought into the campaign abstraction "hope."
2. By putting his name on many of the policies that George Bush was condemned for adopting, he has rehabilitated the reputation of George Bush .

Let's not forget Obama's most impressive act yet. Disengaging from the defense of Czech. and Poland [BHO's missile defense decision] required actual time travel back to the era of the Cold War. Where he promptly surrendered.
