So, we have to sanction them AND arm the Ukrainians to the teeth to defeat them. Sanctions DO hurt economies, and wars demand more than anything else. So, you hurt Russia's economy as badly as you can with sanctions AND you make their war unwinnable, so they either back out or collapse into the blackest sort of poverty imaginable. Their choice. To: Charles_Byrd (#2) The Founding Fathers were the heads of a very weak nation that could be torn apart by European powers. And they did not live in the age of nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles. The Republicans wanted to follow this strategy and stay neutral in the face of the ACTUAL Nazis. It didn't work then, and it won't work now. The Japanese and the Germans declared war on us. After they devour the little countries (for ALL countries except the US are little compared to Russia and China), they will come after us, and we will have squandered all of our allies. No. The bullies have to be stopped in their tracks now, before they go any farther. Ukraine does not belong to Russia, and Taiwan does not belong to Communist China.
