To: (#0) For my part, I don't care about the circus surrounding Trump's hanky-panky thirty years ago. Nobody but overwrought Republican partisans cared about Clinton's or Obama's, and nobody should care about Trump's either. I care about Trump's stance on Russia and China. Biden's is very clear, and sets the standard. If Trump can't meet the standard: Ukraine wins and we will fight China over Taiwan, then Trump is inferior to Biden. DeSantis has already blown himself up by stating that the Ukraine War is a "territorial dispute" between the Ukraine and Russia, and questioning the US involvement...demonstrating that DeSantis is perhaps suited to be governor of an internal American state, but does not understand international affairs enough to be President. To be President, you have to get Ukraine and Taiwan right. Otherwise, go away. DeSantis has it wrong. Trump is currently muddy. He needs to be as clear as Biden, and have the same position as Biden or stronger. If not, then Biden is inevitable choice. Ukrainians win by bringing this war to an end as soon and as equitably as feasible...some sort of negotiated peace should be a primary focus, IMHO. Not sure what Trump is talking about ending the conflict in 24 hours, but I agree with his goal. Biden is simply too weak and too compromised to pull off such statesmanship, but Trump could do it. If it's Trump, I'll vote for Trump. I just can't stomach the Democrats. And by the time Trump takes over, Ukraine will have largely won in Ukraine anyway. Biden may well be dead. I wish Trump was clearer-headed about American interests in defeating Russia, He keeps talking like the smartest guy in the room, and he's not. But he's a damned sight better than the Democrats with their political prosecutions. Unfortunately, I don't think Trump can actually win. I think that the combination of Democrats and Independents who have decided they hate him, and electoral fraud that was not defeated but won the argument, means he can't really win.
