Zumiez to close Everett warehouse, lay off 170 Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle)
Zumiez said it will close its distribution center in Everett, Wash., and lay off the facility's 170 employees.
The retailer (NASDAQ: ZUMZ) is shifting its distribution center to Corona, Calif. The company, however, said it will keep its headquarters, corporate offices and internet e-commerce division in Everett.
The company will vacate the smaller of the two buildings it leases in Everett, and purchase a new 168,000-square-foot building in Corona.
