Southeastern Chop House, which Trinidad Faragoza III opened last summer in the historic Georgian Hotel building on East Washington Street, closed Monday.
Faragoza did not return a phone call seeking details about the closing.
Warren Southall, who leased the commercial space to Southeastern Chop House, said he is talking with someone else about the possibility of opening a restaurant there and hopes he might have the space filled in three to six months.
Marvel Fence opens for installation, repair
Partners Matt Marvel and Gerry Tuggle recently opened Marvel Fence, which installs or repairs all types of fences for commercial or residential use. Marvel and Tuggle also have two other partners who hold minority interest in the company and operate their own fence installation company in Atlanta.
Marvel used to own A&M Fencing Supply, a wholesale fence distributorship that he sold to Stephens Pipe and Steel in August 2008. Marvel worked with Stephens for nine months.
After leaving Stephens, Marvel took a break before deciding to get into the fence installation business. Tuggle was one of Marvel’s former employees and top salesman for years.
Marvel Fence plans on starting an online fence store by the summer and wants to open a store front as well, Marvel said.
