There is something very, very wrong about the Olympics that no one is talking about; it's the same thing that was wrong with Expo67. There is a real prospect the Olympic 'spirit' will end in slavery and civilizational death.
The Olympic Death Wish
by Frank Hilliard
Let's start with this quote from today's Globe & Mail, one of many extolling the spirit of the Olympics. Visitors all say Vancouver is a positive love fest:
Juggler David Aiken - a.k.a. The Checkerboard Guy - performs two shows a day. Mr. Aiken said the atmosphere at Vancouver's Olympic epicentre is electric. A veteran street performer, he said it's a joy to watch people from different nations converge in one spot and enjoy one another. "There's a palpable feeling of patriotism, but not in a bad way," the spectacled performer said after a lunch-hour show. "People from Canada and Germany and Denmark are coming together and wishing the best for everyone."
That's what they said about Expo67; people loved the way all the national pavilions provided a feeling of patriotism 'but not in a bad way.' There was no sniping, no IED's, no mobs of yelling Jihadists, no killing of Jews, Christians and homosexuals; no 9/11, no London tube bombing, no Madrid train bombing, no Bali nightclub bombing, no Fort Hood shooting, no Montreal massacre by the son of a Muslim immigrant, no religious police beating women for showing their ankles, no chopping off of hands, or heads, no whipping of women who were caught drinking beer and especially no stoning of adulterers with proper sized rocks brought in by the authorities.
No, Hell no; none of that nastiness. None of that reality. Nothing of the real world.
No instead Vancouver (except for one brief riot), and some bizarre Nazi symbolism, has been like Disneyland north; a happy throng of crazed Canucks reveling in a giant Coke commercial.
The reason this is a death wish can be seen from what happened after Expo. Expo67 led to multiculturalism which went a long way to destroying the country. We got a top-down constitution, judge-made law, cultural relativism, moral failure (our UN mission in Rwanda), thought police (CHRC), abortion on demand and calls for national state rearing of children.
And that was just in Canada.
