Top U.S. intelligence officials warned Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is frustrated that his invasion of Ukraine is not going as planned, and that the coming weeks will get "ugly" as he takes an even more aggressive approach to try and take over the country.

During a House Intelligence Committee hearing, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines said that Putin did not expect the U.S. and European allies to respond the way they have with sanctions, and did not anticipate private companies ceasing to do business with Russia.

PUTIN'S DESIRE TO BRING BACK SOVIET UNION, ADVANCED AGE DRIVING INVASION, UKRAINE CAUCUS CO-CHAIR SAYS

"Nevertheless," Haines said, "our analysts assessed that Putin is unlikely to be deterred by such setbacks and instead may escalate, essentially doubling down to achieve Ukrainian disarmament neutrality to prevent it from further integrating with the U.S. and NATO if it doesn't reach some diplomatic negotiation." In this handout photo made from video released by the Russian Presidential Press Service, Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks to celebrate International Women's Day, in Moscow, Russia, Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

Haines went on to say that her agency believes "Putin feels aggrieved because the West does not give him proper deference."

CIA Director William Burns seconded the notion that Putin is adamant in achieving his goals and that "this is a matter of deep personal conviction" for the Russian leader. stating that he believes "Putin is determined to dominate and control Ukraine to shape its orientation." The committee also heard from Director of the National Security Agency Gen. Paul Nakasone, FBI Director Christopher Wray, CIA Director William Burns and Lt. Gen. Scott Berrier, the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Burns also said that he thinks Putin began this war based on false assumptions that Ukraine could be "easily intimidated," that Europeans, particularly France and Germany, are "distracted" by internal politics, that Russia's foreign currency reserves gave them sufficient protection against sanctions, and that improvements made to the Russian military would have yielded "a quick, decisive victory at minimal cost."

RUSSIA INVADES UKRAINE: LIVE UPDATES

"He's been proven wrong on every count," Burns said. "Those assumptions have proven to be profoundly flawed over the last 12 days of conflict."

As a result, Burns said he thinks "Putin is angry and frustrated now."

Burns predicted that this frustration will result in "an ugly next few weeks in which he doubles down … with scant regard for civilian casualties."

Despite his belief that Russia will act with even greater force, Burns said he is also confident that Ukraine will fight back.

"The one thing I'm absolutely convinced of, and I think our analysts across the intelligence community are absolutely convinced of, is the Ukrainians are going to continue to resist fiercely and effectively," Burns said.

Haines noted that while Putin may take a tougher stance now, he may be lowering his expectations in terms of possible outcomes as he sees more and more obstacles in his way.

"What he might be willing to accept as a victory may change over time, given the significant costs he is incurring," Haines said. It is evident that the Ukrainian people, beyond the issues that diplomacy can resolve ... are victims of the same global coup d'état --- being carried out by supranational powers that intend, not peace between nations, but rather the establishment of the tyranny of the New World Order.

Just a few days ago, Ukrainian parliamentarian Kira Rudik told Fox News, while holding a kalashnikov: “We know that we are not only fighting for Ukraine, but also for the New World Order.”

The United States of America and the European nations should not marginalize Russia, but rather form an alliance with her, not only for the restoration of trade for the prosperity of all, but in view of the reconstruction of a Christian Civilization, which alone can save the world from the globalist techno-health transhuman monster.

Christian Civilization

Christian Civilization requires a Christian church...in good working condition.

which alone can save the world from the globalist techno-health transhuman monster.

Quite the contrary, Carlo Maria Viganò, you have forgotten that God is the savior of the world, not the Church. And God has given the world over to the monster...to help you remember.

What we are seeing right now is just the beginning of sorrows.

Bodies buried in mass grave as Mariupol endures unrelenting Russian assault

Too much fakery coming out of Ukraine.

Besides, wouldn't killing civilians be considered war crimes? Isn't this region monitored by international agencies like the Red Cross? Can't they show a little more respect for the dead instead of just tossing them in willy-nilly, piled up like garbage bags? Is there really any need to kick bodies into a ditch these days, what with refrigerated trucks everywhere? Perhaps the "unrelenting assault" makes them nervous about getting shot or blown up, but in the CNN photo they seem mostly unconcerned about snipers, mortars, air attacks, etc. as they drag those bodies.

And don't forget about the families of these "victims" wanting to bury their loved ones. If only they could have seen Uncle Boryslav one more time...

You know what I think, goldilucky? I think this war is fake.

As I recall, they did the mass grave trick in New York, back in 2020. People fell for it then, but who knows. I'm waiting for the grave diggers to start making TikTok videos. That'll convince the world how exhausted they are!

War is hell...and we're all in this together.

From your link...

In other regions of Ukraine (the city of Kyiv, and Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Zhytomyr regions), which were under Government control when casualties occurred: 851 casualties (405 killed and 446 injured)

I've been monitoring the live cams of Kyiv for over a week. During the day people are strolling around completely unconcerned with war or danger.

You know what I think, goldilucky? I think this war is fake.

Compare the live Kyiv cams to the drudge/daily mail headlines...

Putin begins to move on Kyiv: Russian tank column is repelled and 'ANOTHER top commander killed' in devastating ambush as Moscow's forces move 'within a few miles' of capital outskirts amid fears Mariupol bombings are a sign of what is to come Russia attacked Kyiv from west and east Wednesday, as analysts say battle for the capital is now underway Footage showed that a Russian assault from the east was ambushed by artillery and suffered heavy losses

What am I missing here?

From what I have been seeing(or watching) is that cities around Kyiv have been bombarded with heavy shelling and bombs. Mariupol, Crimea are two cities that Putin has and also taken control of two major nuclear plants in Ukraine. I am sensing that Putin is trying to get to Kyiv and this is one of his key cities he wants control of.

It also may be that Russia has taken control of what gets aired from the news. They did cut off Facebook and Twitter. The only sources that have been able to access the reality of what is going on are the journalists from around the world. Fox News and CNN and a few others. Interesting to note that the severity of carnage of the death toll is so bad that some media are not showing the images from it all. My source came from CNN but I originally did watch a field reporter report of the grisly images from Fox News and CNBC-Shepard Smith.

I just finished watching FNC, on the Laura Ingraham Show, where she was checking in with field reporter, Trey Yingst. It is 5:01 am in Kyiv where he is reporting. There is a forty-mile long convoy of Russian caravans edging close to Kyiv. They are within 10 miles away from the city of Kyiv.

Anybody notice the pale horse at the upper right corner?

If you are referring to the horse on the flag behind Putin, I believe that has to do with St. George and the dragon legend.

The actual pale horse of Revelation is a light green color.

a pale (chloros) Adjective - Nominative Masculine Singular Strong's Greek 5515: Green, pale green. From the same as Chloe; greenish

The globalist elite know this, and have fashioned the "green movement" to use as a weapon against humanity. Notice the Greek word is "chloros"... the same word used to describe the "green" grass that was burned up in Rev. 8:7.

Any excuse to use some stylized "666" motif.

Sure it does. http://blog.obitel-minsk.com/201...-iconography-of-sain.html

Kind of reminds me of this http://unherd.com/2022/02/putins-spiritual-destiny/

Kind of gives you a real warm fuzzy feeling inside doesn't it?

There is a great deal of insight in the articles you posted, however I feel at odds, Biblically speaking, with some of the content.

In the first article on the martyr of St. George, I feel that placing George on the White Horse of Revelation is a mistake. Protestant Bible scholars usually assign this role to the anti-christ. I did likewise until I saw convincing evidence that the White Horse was the worldwide "pandemic" that conquered the entire world, wearing the corona/crown and having a toxon/toxic vaccine/bow. Of course, there was no visible anti-christ person per se, but, then, where is it actually written that the AC would be the rider?

As to the Unherd article, if Kyev is so vital to Putin, why attack so half-heartedly. We are being told that the huge Russian convoy is being thwarted 10 miles outside the capital. Really? Does Russia no longer know how to conduct a ground assault? Is Russia having mechanical problems with their Hinds and Migs? The whole story from our MSM is gobbledygook (as usual).

As for the Discovery World article, I reject the notion that the bear of Daniel 7 is Russia. And that throws the whole thing askew. On the other hand, the article did bring in some Scripture that I had not thought of, namely Jeremiah 50:9. I do frequently ponder Mystery Babylon as mentioned in Revelation.

Who do you believe best fulfils that prophecy, goldilucky? Any ideas? And if you have a convincing argument for the bear of Dan 7 being Russia please share it.

My apologies...I believe Putin miscalculated and overreached by sending his troops into Ukraine, thereby alienating Russia from the civilized world and, allegedly, a growing percentage of the Russian people. And for what? To take over nominal control of a country that doesn't want you there, and many Russian soldiers will be killed via individual acts of revolt, and I don't see where Putinz reputation recovers and I think it is getting more and more likely that some enterprising Russian patriot puts this would be Gog six feet under by this time next year.

"...And for what? To take over nominal control of a country that doesn't want you there,..."

In Putin's mind, the country of Ukraine has always been his country and the people there were his. They belonged to him by right. He believes that he is doing justice and the people of Ukraine rebelling against him are his enemies. Metaphorically speaking, Putin symbolizes St. George on a mission to kill the dragon.

I am 100% convinced that we are being fed crap, and being told it is the best cuisine.

I remember the stories about the mass graves outside a BC church/school from the 1940-50's era. The occupants were "first nations" kids. When they dug in, they found one body unidentified. The rest were just markers that had decayed, as they had not buried people there. They had been returned to their families upon death. In short, it was as true as the mass graves in Bosnia of the Muslims of Kosovo. What was true in the Kosovo thing was, there were mass graves, dug and filled with bodies of Serbs.

THIS IS A TAG LINE...Exercising rights is only radical to two people, Tyrants and Slaves. Which are YOU? Our ignorance has driven us into slavery and we do not recognize it.

We're being lied to on a global scale. It's infuriating.

It keeps me up at night, wondering where I've been lied to...

I even considered that the online Greek dictionaries had been tampered with, especially regarding the impossible coincidence that the Greek word for "bow" ("toxon") in Rev.6:2 actually means "apparently as the simplest fabric", which perfectly describes what we have been told about graphene. [And what writer of a dictionary uses the words "apparently as..."?]

Never-the-less my very old copy of The Greek Dictionary of the New Testament contains those very words. It was shocking to see that written so long ago, when no one would have understood what "simplest fabric" really meant.

So...if the rulers of this dark world are following the Bible as their playbook, are they also fulfilling prophecy while doing so? Which begs the question: does a fake war fulfill prophecy? lol

Perhaps a closer inspection of Revelation 6:4 is needed...

And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

This verse says they should "kill one another"...is this necessarily military warfare, or does it leave room for individuals fighting/killing each other on a personal level?

And what would it take for men to kill one another? Hunger, perhaps.
