I have to say that Gene Kim didn't have a good command of this teaching.
He seems to have moved beyond dispensationalism by saying the toes of iron and clay might be interpreted as graphene being injected into the human body.
I'm not a chemist but to my understanding graphene and iron are two different types of compounds.
He comes out of Pensacola Bible Institute. Meaning that he has a strict, independent, fundamental, Bible Baptist education.
He has a very interesting teaching style, or at least he did when I watched him several years ago. It seems he has developed some theatrical nonsense recently, which is not in keeping with his strict Bible Baptist upbringings that's for sure!
I liked his teaching back a few years ago. His delivery was dry and crisp, not much humor. In fact, I call him the "dry-erase" teacher for his excellent use of the dry erase board.
The jury is still out with me.
What I believe I see in Gene Kim is what I see in the entirety of the Christian Church...the accumulative effects of Laodicea. I've mentioned this condition ad nauseum so I'll spare you those details.
It pains me to report that Gene Kim has gone completely off the rails in his most recent video.
In this lesson Kim tells us that the bear described in Daniel 7 is Russia, and that one of the three ribs in the bear's mouth is Ukraine.
1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
With very few exceptions, Christian scholars have held the bear ("and it had three ribs in the mouth") in Daniel's dream is the Medo-Persian empire, which followed the Babylonian empire ("like a lion, and had eagle's wings") and preceded the Grecian empire under Alexander the Great and four of his generals ("like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings") Casander, Lysimachus, Ptolemy, and Seleucus.
One of those exceptions being Dr. Peter Ruckman, whom Gene Kim mentions at around 6:25 minutes.
In my search to understand Ruckman I found this...
RUCKMAN HOLDS MANY PECULIAR DOCTRINES AND HAS A PROUD, CULTIC ATTITUDE THAT HE ALONE HAS TRUTHS THAT NO ONE ELSE IN CHURCH HISTORY HAS KNOWN.
In bragging up his book The Salient Verses, Mr. Ruckman makes these comments: If you are able to obtain a copy [of Ruckmans proposed new book] you will have, in your hands, a minimum of 200 advanced revelations that came from the inerrant English text, that were completely overlooked (or ignored) by every major Christian scholar since 90 A.D. This would include all of the modern Bible revisers (1800- 1999), all of the faculty members and staffs of every major Fundamental (Conservative and Evangelical) seminary, university, and college in Europe and America since 1500, and every Greek and Hebrew scholar (or teacher) since 1611. ... Actually, if a Bible believer has this work he will have the accumulated knowledge of Cornelius Stam and Ethelbert Bullinger ... Clarence Larkin and C.I. Scofield, Ewing, Osborne, Tilton, and PTL ... Pember, Peters, Gaebelein, Pentecost, Lindsey, Kirban, Rockwood, Webber, and Van Impe ... plus the Puritans, Reformers, major evangelists (Moody, Sunday, Finney, Torrey, Wesley, etc.) and all that ANY Greek and Hebrew scholar ... ever found out--that was SO--in the last 200 years (Peter Ruckman, Bible Believers Bulletin, Jan. 1994, pp. 2,4).
It's hard for me to understand how an able minded man like Gene Kim could be so fixated on such a questionable "scholar" like Ruckman. Nevertheless...

Greetings Stone, stoner et al ,
From what I've read about this guy Kim, he is just another goofy false- prophet futurist. As far as I know not one of their predictions have ever come true -- whereas all of mine do -- proving beyond a shadow of a doubt the historicist view is the only remotely viable view of prophecy.
