Breaking reports out of Canada have revealed that the government of Ontario won a court order seeking to entirely freeze any and all funds donated to the Canadian freedom convoy through the crowdfunding website GiveSendGo. The ruling blocks the use of “any and all monetary donations made through the Freedom Convoy 2022 and Adopt-a-Trucker campaign pages on the GiveSendGo online fundraising platform.” Ontario Premier Doug Ford issued a statement on the matter: “Today, the Attorney General brought an application in the Superior Court of Justice for an order pursuant to section 490.8 of the Criminal Code prohibiting any person from disposing of, or otherwise dealing with, in any manner whatsoever, any and all monetary donations made through the Freedom Convoy 2022 and Adopt-a-Trucker campaign pages on the GiveSendGo online fundraising platform,” Ford wrote.

Those who are asking for more government interference are asking ultimately for more compulsion and less freedom.
