CPAC is in full swing, a few highlights so far:

- speakers reading jokes off teleprompters that make fun of Obama's use of a teleprompter

- Mitt Romney pretending he's a conservative

- Scott Brown pretending he's a conservative

- Attendees praising the service they are getting from unionized staff

Jason Mattera of the Young America's Foundation, declared that: "Our notion of freedom doesn't consist of snorting cocaine, which distinguishes us from Barack Obama."

Later, he added: "On the cocaine front I do believe many young people in America view Barack in the same fashion they view drugs: it was a substance to experiment with."

Glenn Beck delivers the closing keynote, he is an admitted cocaine user who went through rehab to clean himself up.

You can't write this stuff.

You people may be correct in directing criticism toward this organization. The people on the so-called right who want smaller government and a return to the Constitution are being marginalized and co-opted right before our eyes. CPAC is just one vehicle to do it.

What's left of the fledgling Tea Party movement in '10 and '12 will either find itself in the republican party or completely discredited by our so-called friends in right-wing media and talk radio.

So - you can fault some on the movement for their political naivete - but why do you continue to impugn their motives?

I may be the "Fool On The Hill" - but you clowns who support the Obamas, Pelosis and Reids of the world are the real fools.

Because they're being willing tools. A full break with both political parties is needed if anything is ever going to change. Sitting back while you're being assimilated accomplishes nothing.

Their so called purpose seems a little disingenuous as none of them seemed to care when the GOP was the one doing the robbing of freedoms. Also at least the tea partyers I have talked too are pretty gung ho on the ME wars. Wars neither officially declared nor directly dealing with 14 Saudi planejackers and their supposed Saudi Arabian family dynasty boss.

None of them? That seems a little broad. Bush's record low approval ratings and the fact the GOP lost Congress in '06 would seem to belie that "fact."

Well SOMEBODY did . . . didn't they?

It's not rocket science. You said "no one criticized Bush and the GOP when blah blah blah blah."

I pointed out to you that you were in error, because the criticism took the form of Bush's record low approval ratings and the GOP losing Congress.

All it takes is - the hardcore base staying home, the "independents" breaking to the Demwits, and the demwit base turning out.

I cannot prove this, of course, but my opinion is that Bush's popularity was skewed by 9/11. The GOPs gains in the '02 elections were certainly affected.

I believe if it hadn't been for 9/11, Bush would have been a one-termer.

It's all speculation, but he certainly would have had fewer GOPers in the House and Senate. So in that regard, you're probably right.

And that would have made him even LESS popular with the base.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) told the audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this morning in Washington, DC that the American public should take a lesson from Tiger Woods' jilted wife, Elin, and tell the Democratic Congress and administration it's had enough.

Pawlenty took the stage at CPAC at 10 a.m. at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, an hour before Woods was scheduled to address media for the first time since news of his affairs broke.

He told the audience in attendance: "Tiger Woods is holding his press conference at 11 o'clock Eastern. Now, I think we can learn a lot from that situation--not from Tiger, but from his wife. So she said, 'I've had enough." She said, 'No more.' "I think we should take a page out of her playbook and take a nine iron and smash the window out of big government in this country," Pawlenty said, to audience applause. "We've had enough."

Woods's scandal, memorably, began when his wife bashed the window of his SUV outside his home, resulting in a crash. Pawlenty, a contender for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012, addressed CPAC this morning as one of its big-name speakers.

See the tagline. And except for the 06 election cycle I've been 100% accurate in election results.

I also predicted at LP in 2004 Obama would be the 2008 Presidential nominee. My anti groupie spent quite a bit of time mocking that observation the days after his DNC keynote address.

IN January of 2008, I predicted Obama would beat Clinton in the primaries, that McCain would be the GOP nominee, and that Obama would win easily.

My anti groupie searched that database recently, and decided not to mention it.

Fact is, my track record on this exceeds anything you two kool aid drinkers have ever come up with COMBINED.
