LEFT WING LOONS Title: Media ... sacrifices RiTTenhouse --- aT alTar of iTs lies Media sacrifices Rittenhouse at altar of its lies By Don Surber November 12, 2021 Erielle Davidson of the Claremont Institute nailed the reason for the blatantly biased media coverage of Kyle Rittenhouse. She tweeted, "Admitting Rittenhouse acted in self-defense would take admitting that the riots last summer were not 'mostly peaceful.' Blocks of communities were destroyed by fires, looting, and violence. We have a guy who was delivering first aid on trial for defending himself from rioters." Rittenhouse went to Kenosha to aid property owners in the wake of rioting and looting For no reason at all, rioters destroyed about 100 used cars at a dealership, causing $2.5 million damage. The mob was on a self-righteous rampage after a police officer shot a man who was attempting to abduct children. The media fed the mob with yellow journalism stories. County, state, and federal investigations showed the shooting was justifiable. No charges were filed. Unable to railroad a police officer, the media has made Rittenhouse a surrogate. They call him a white supremacist, but the men he shot were white. They also had criminal records and were engaged in a riot. The trial has revealed the prosecution has nothing on Rittenhouse. Clearly, the men he shot were attacking him. One tried to grab his rifle. Another hit him with a skateboard. Another pulled a handgun on him. To its credit, AP talked to former prosecutors in Wisconsin. AP reported, "Daniel Adams, a former Milwaukee County assistant district attorney who isn't involved in the trial, described Binger's case as incredibly underwhelming." Adams said, "He's got nothing. I just don't understand it. What are we doing here? We're all kind of scratching our heads." Kenosha County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger was terrible. AP reported, "Binger called Gaige Grosskreutz to the stand on Monday. Grosskreutz testified he thought Rittenhouse was going to kill him, but on cross-examination he acknowledged that he ran up to Rittenhouse and pointed a pistol at him a split-second after Rittenhouse shot Huber. "'That's a pretty clear case of self-defense,' said Paul Bucher, a former Waukesha County district attorney who isn't involved in the case. 'When he has a handgun (and) was in the process of pointing it, that would give me great pause as to whether I'd even charge that.' "'Rittenhouse testified Wednesday that Joseph Rosenbaum threatened to kill him twice, that Anthony Huber hit him with the skateboard twice before he shot him, and that Grosskreutz pointed his pistol at him after first raising his hands in a surrender gesture." Rittenhouse, 18, broke down during his testimony. USA Today, MSNBC, and other outlets used their columnists to call his breakdown "crocodile tears." Several black militants used this trial to advance their agenda. The headline for a column by Ja'han Jones (who works on Joy Reid's show) said, "The man charged with homicide in the deaths of two anti-police brutality protesters put on quite the show for a nearly all-white jury this week." Kenosha County is 88% white and 5% black. The defendant and the three men he shot are white. But race is all Jones and her boss Reid have. If they had to go by talent instead of their racist blather, they would be unemployable. The American media, perhaps with the exception of AP now, wants an innocent man to go to prison for life. And Rittenhouse is presumed innocent in the eyes of the law. And the prosecutor failed to prove his case. Erielle Davidson is correct in observing that the trial is an indictment of the summer of 2020. An acquittal means the riots in Kenosha in 2020 were not mostly peaceful protests. An acquittal means the media lied.
