The second major disagreement related to the future of Kosovo as a province of Yugoslavia, where the U.S./Kosovo Liberation Army contingent demanded a plebiscite in three years, which would allow the ethnic Albanians to secede and form their own Islamic state--while Milosevic insisted that Kosovo remain part of greater Yugoslavia. The ugly truth the Clinton cheerleaders in the media refuse to publicize is that the G-8 agreement includes a UN-led peace-keeping force, and no provision for Kosovar Albanian independence. Make no mistake about it, the capitulation required to reach an agreement in the Clinton/Milosevic negotiations was much more Clinton's than it was Slobo's--and the two- month massacre was a huge waste of money, weaponry, lives, and American prestige!
