"EX-Soviet General Lays Bare A.N.S.W.E.R./WorldWorker'sParty Socialist Origins/Goals!!" "The WWP was created by the Soviet KGB in 1957, with the initial task of helping the Kremlin create a favorable impression of the 1956 Soviet invasion of Hungary among the trade unions and "colored" population of the United States. After the Soviet Union collapsed, the WWP apparently took on a life of its own, as did many other Cold War operations I had been involved with. Currently, the WWP has a national office in New York (55 W. 17th Street) and 18 regional headquarters across the United States, the addresses of which are posted on the Internet. Now the WWP represents itself as a "national Marxist-Leninist party promoting socialism, supporting working class struggles and lesbian/gay/bi/trans liberation, organizing protests, and denouncing racism and sexism." Two of its leaders, Larry Holmes and Monica G. Moorehead, repeatedly ran for president of the United States on the WWP ticket. Both portrayed the United States as a country run by war-mongering governments, and both insinuated that America was full of political prisoners. The WWP newspaper Workers World is also still around and maintains its Cold War rhetoric. Its website states: "We're independent Marxists" whose "goal is solidarity of all the workers and oppressed against this criminal imperialist system." Over the years, the WWP created several front organizations along Soviet lines, such as the Youth Against War and Fascism, the United Labor Action, and the American Servicemen's Union. Most recently the WWP spawned another front called ANSWER, standing for Act Now to Stop War and End Racism, which is run by the same people running the WWP. Nuthin'!! We need to convince folks on both the Left and the Right that placing all their marbles in the Federal coffers is a bad thing. Fer instance, NooYawk and many of the NE states are consistently paying much more in Federal taxes than they get back from the Feds, so why the heck don't they agree to substantially curb the Fed's reach/tithe and start implementing their beloved Socialist schemes at the State level? If socialized medicine is such a great goal, why don't they implement it at the State level and watch as companies and labor talent migrate back within their borders? Likewise, more libertarian-minded States would gravitate towards less State taxes and less State services and let the people vote with their feet!!
