Paul Silhan usedta do conservative parodies that Rush played on his program...first time I had ever heard of such a thing and I was hooked...lol.
Silhan used to do the song in a voice that approximated the original singer's voice. Paul Shanklin took over years later as Limbaugh's "Go-To Parodyist", but he has a knack for impersonations and would sing in the voice of some recognizable politician's voice, which comes across totally different than Silhan's, imho.
I actually bought a couple cassettes of Paul Silhan's parodies...now I'm ghonna go and dig them up and dust them off...lol.

"Common Thread" is the title of a CD put out in 1993 by a number of modern Country performers, each performing an Eagles song. "Tequila Sunrise", for example, is sung by Alan Jackson, and "Desperado" is performed by Clint Black, and "Take It To the Limit" is performed by Suzy Bogguss...it's really a neat CD, and we shall FReep every song on it by the end of this thread...MUD
