Title: To survive, we must fire them all

12 days ago, I wrote and posted, "Fire them all." Since then, others have agreed.

Kurt Schlichter had a message for Milley and the other members of the Joint Showboats of Staff, "Rip those stars off your pathetic nostalgia costumes and resign. Quit. Tell that crusty Pinocchio in the White House and the faculty lounge Geppettos tugging his strings that you will have no more to do with his human centipede of failure in Kabul. "It’s not hard – your stars are right there, generals, right on the shoulders of those new uniforms you decided to adopt with the express purpose of evoking World War II and the memory of victory over a modern, peer-competitor military. Maybe, you thought, wearing winner’s gear would ease the pain of getting creamed by a bunch of Seventh Century throwbacks.

"Yeah, we know your boss is a senile old fool with delusions of competence. His failure will be addressed at the ballot box. But your failure, generals and admirals, is something only you can address, at least until President DeSantis comes and separates the wheat from the chaff in the Pentagon."

He's a retired colonel. As an officer and a gentleman, he knows when to be subtle.

We ain't got time for that.

He concluded, correctly, "You won’t do it, because if you were the kind of men who would do it you would not have to be told to do it. But you should do it. It might save a little shred of your dignity. Rip those stars off your shoulders and throw them down on the Resolute Desk."

The last Democrat president to surrender like this was Jefferson Davis.

The survival of America depends on firing them all. The good, the bad, and the indifferent must all go because we must send a clear signal to the mediocrities running the military and the Department of State.

The message must be failure gets you canned.

We failed 20 years ago to do so, and it cost us dearly.

9/11 resulted in no firings. Instead of dismissing the people in charge of an intelligence community that failed the nation, Bush 43 appointed a 9/11 commission, which included many of the people responsible for the 9/11 whiff. The commission was a bipartisan circle jerk and coverup. After months of interviews, it concluded that the FBI and CIA had "not well served" Presidents Clinton and Bush.

No shit, Sherlock.

Contrast and compare to FDR's response to the REAL Pearl Harbor.

History.com reported, "Rear Admiral Husband E. Kimmel was relieved of his command of the U.S. Pacific Fleet as part of a shake-up of officers in the wake of the Pearl Harbor disaster.

"Admiral Kimmel had enjoyed a successful military career, beginning in 1915 as an aide to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He served admirably on battleships in World War I, winning command of several in the interwar period. At the outbreak of World War II, Kimmel had already attained the rank of rear admiral and was commanding the cruiser forces at Pearl Harbor. In January 1941, he was promoted to commander of the Pacific Fleet, replacing James Richardson, who FDR relieved of duty after Richardson objected to basing the fleet at Pearl Harbor."

The removal of his former aide came 10 days after Pearl Harbor. FDR also relieved Lieutenant General Walter C. Short that day of command of the Army base at Pearl Harbor.

Maybe they were scapegoats. Maybe not. That is unimportant.

But the message to all the rest of the admirals and the generals was clear. Do your job or be publicly humiliated and you will lose at least one star.

We went on to win the war because even after 20+ years of underfunding and rare promotions, the military had plenty of other admirals and generals to replace the commanders who screwed up.

Instead of firing those who did this, we are firing the critics. Politico reported, "Marine officer relieved of duty after calling out senior leaders about Afghanistan."

Guess what?

He doesn't care.

Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller said in a video, "I have been fighting for 17 years. I am willing to throw it all away to say to my senior leaders, ‘I demand accountability.'"

The public overwhelmingly supports him. Everyone must demand accountability.

And that starts by firing every member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, every secretary of the various services, the Defense secretary, the Secretary of State, the vice president, and the president.

We cannot allow to go unpunished the surrender of billions of dollars in cash, equipment, and military bases to a bunch of goons who posed no threat to our military men and women in Afghanistan.

If they continue in office, the message will be that every single one of them is above the law. That they are invulnerable because no matter what disaster they create, they still have a job, a pension, and prestige.

If even arming terrorists does not get you fired, nothing will.

Fire them all.

Our survival depends on it.

Poster Comment:

The willingness of Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller to sacrifice his career to speak out is somewhat offset by the fact that his current chain of command would not blink an eye at getting him killed for no good reason, whatever.

Watch your six, LC Scheller.

These truly are interesting times. So good to see good guys emerge while the vile are exposing themselves.
