Beware the Eephus: Washington on Edge As Durham Prepares Possible Indictments and Report Below is my column in The Hill on recent reports of grand jury testimony in the Durham investigation. The implications of the grand jury — and the eventual report — have rattled folks in the Beltway this week . . . for good reason. You’re confusing government with your church, your moral and religion principles. Congress has no power to mandate whom Americans accept or reject. The right to private property provides the owner the sole power to “claim and exercise dominion” over his private property. Freedom of speech, thought, religion, belief, assembly, segregation, propagation, press and every other, conceivable, natural and God- given right, freedom, privilege and immunity, per the 9th Amendment, are provided to individual Americans by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. At the same time, government, Congress, has the power to tax for only “…general Welfare…,” omitting and, thereby, excluding any power to tax for individual or specific welfare, redistribution of wealth or charity. The entire, American, redistributionist, welfare state is irrefutably unconstitutional. And Congress has no power to regulate anything other than money, commerce and land and naval Forces. Individual Americans enjoy maximal freedom while Congress, the government, is severely limited and restricted. Americans most certainly have the right and freedom to discriminate. If Americans cannot discriminate, Americans cannot be free. No minority has any constitutional power to deny any American his manifest constitutional rights, freedoms, privileges and immunities, based simply on the fact that he’s a minority. No success is guaranteed by the Constitution. You’re wittingly, unwittingly or insidiously conflating violence with opinions on race. All men are created equal, but after creation, all men succeed or fail on their merits. People must adapt to the outcomes of freedom.
