WWG1WWA: Do any of you know [what happened to [Stone]???
Gatlin: No, but I do know that Libertys Flame is definitely a better chit-chat forum without him.
Stone: Noted.
Yes, you did But you never disagreed.
I'm thinking I should ban you then take a long hiatus.
That makes absolutely no sense. How long will you do the thinking before you take your long hiatus?
There have been complaints against you.
Nothing new about that. There always have been complaints against me by some cowardly assholes who will not confront me on open forum yet go running and boo-hooing like little babies to you on PM.
A K A Stone: I'm fine. Just busy.
Mudboy Slim: Two months, three days isn't a "long hiatus", Mr. Stone?
Mudboy Slim is correct.
Be honest, Stone. Just busy is code for I really dont give a shit about this dead site anymore.
Going back to:
I'm thinking I should ban you
How long do you need to think about it?
Another:
Two months, three days [ ] long hiatus?
If you are going to ban me, Stone Then just do it and dont waste time thinking about it.
"Just busy" is code for "I really don't give a shit about this dead site anymore."
Can you blame Stone if he actually DID feel that way from time to time? Just becuz he's been paying the freight for this place for the last decade-and-a- half doesn't mean he doesn't get burnt out "fighting the good fight" against the behemoth that is the tyrannical Federal Leviathan and its parasite institutions (and you know who you are..TeachersUnions, RAT-media, BigTech, BLM, etc.)
Personally, I cherish the right to disappear from the debate altogether, which I have done for weeks, months, and even years at a time. Sure Stone can be a bit "abrasive" at times (I might even use the word "churlish" in certain instances...lol)...but he's been dealing with the wars, the ferrets, the Jhoffa_s and biff tannens and other obnoxious ne'er-do-wells whose greatest joy in life seemed to be in disrupting rational discussion and debate.
"Irascible"...yep...even better than churlish...MUD

Ah, we simply must have some highly appropriate background music playing to that passionately deep appeal to emotion.
Lets see hmmm Okay, heres something definitely most fitting:
Your appeal to emotion or argumentum ad passions ("argument from passion") is an informal fallacy characterized by the manipulation of the recipient's emotions, especially in the absence of factual evidence. This kind of appeal to emotion is a type of red herring and encompasses several logical fallacies, including appeal to pity and wishful thinking.
The appeal to emotion is only fallacious when the emotions that are elicited are irrelevant to evaluating the truth of the conclusion and serve to distract from rational consideration of relevant premises or information. Appeals to emotion are intended to draw inward feelings such as pity from the recipient of the information with the end goal of convincing them that the statements being presented in the fallacious argument are true or false, respectively.
Oh The answer to your bleeding heart queston showing excessive sympathy
Can you blame Stone if he actually DID feel that way from time to time?
