In an interview with Politico on Friday, Warren, when asked if she planned to run for re-election, responded "yep." The senator, who will turn 72-years-old next month, was first elected to the upper chamber in 2012, and has since emerged as a key member of the Democratic caucus, especially in its growing progressive wing. Then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) ultimately joined Biden on the Democratic ticket. Afterward, Warren made a push to become Biden's Treasury secretary, and was a favorite among progressives. The post, however, went to former Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen. Politico noted that Warren's decision to run for another term comes as a handful of prominent Massachusetts Democrats have been eyeing a run for Senate, including Rep. Ayanna Pressley and former Rep. Joe Kennedy III. Warren made the remarks in an interview with Politico that largely focused on her new book "Persist." Poster Comment: TThe mask is a welcome addition to Pocohontas' face!
