Be very careful how you throw around the word, "dyslexic." There was no school on November 22, 1945. It was Thanksgiving Day 75 Years ago on that date. And looking forward to fulfilling my desire to service our great nation in the Air Corps. A desire I fulfilled while serving in 12 different ranks and 10 different pay grades. I wore a military uniform to serve our country. As an enlisted man, I was one rank below the highest enlisted grade. And as an officer, I was two ranks below general. During my 24 years of military service, I witnessed people of different backgrounds learn teamwork and discipline so they could rise to all challenges. I have also seen firsthand and participated in community-based nonprofits which showed that you don’t have to wear a military uniform to serve your country. Our Founding Fathers believed that the “pursuit of happiness” was not just an individual right, but also a collective undertaking. It is in this regard – I say that you need not wear a military uniform to serve our country. I therefore ask what have you done to serve our country – and more importantly, what are you doing now? Fatalism tends to be associated with a negative, pessimistic, passive outlook. In other words, being fatalistic means having feelings of powerlessness or hopelessness about life. Adopting a fatalistic attitude can have negative consequences such as undermining personal responsibility, difficulty in making choices, and procrastination.
