They’ve killed God; I can’t feel God; My soul is dead.
I'm not sure what the vaccine volunteer is trying to say.
We do not "feel" God. We "know" God. Because feelings are subjective. They are merely chemical reactions taking place in our physical bodies.
Whereas knowing God is a process, a relationship. Feelings do enter in, but knowledge is the basis.
For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face. Now I know (God) in part; but then shall I know (fully), even as also I am known. 1Cor.13:12 (parenthesis mine)
Then the volunteer says, "My soul is dead". Our soul essentially is comprised of our mind. Our thoughts, our attitudes. And, yes, our feelings. But to say "My soul is dead" would mean that the volunteer would be brain dead as well.
Who needs a vaccine for that. A couple of shots of whiskey will do the same thing.
The important thing to remember...once you actually know God you can't unknow Him. Your knowledge of God may change but is always increasing, not decreasing.
Furthermore, the knowledge of God begins in our spirit, which is separate from our soul (at rebirth/salvation). God made sure to place our spirit deeper within us, where mere pharma would fail to reach.
