Kyle Rittenhouse made his first public remarks via phone during a call with attorney John Piece on Tuesday, in which he thanked supporters for having his back during the ongoing legal saga.
Speaking directly from county jail, Rittenhouse said, “I just want to thank every single one of you from the bottom of my heart” for the support he has received from American citizens who are outraged at the decision of two female prosecutors to charge him with first degree homicide, despite exculpatory video evidence.
“It’s just amazing, I just want to thank all of you for all the mail I’ve been receiving, it’s been really helpful. I just wanna let you all know that I’m going to be out of here soon, stay strong and I hope to see you guys soon,” Rittenhouse concluded.
Attorney John Pierce added, “And I want to say that this is 100% self defense, and if this is not self defense for Kyle Rittenhouse, under these circumstances, then no one can protect themselves, no one can protect their family, and no one can protect their country.”

“This is a watershed moment in American history, a very bright line has been crossed, the right to self defense is a God given right, and we are not going to allow a prosecutor in Kenosha, Wisconsin to take it away for Kyle Rittenhouse. Thank you for all the support.”
