When Biden can be reached in his spider hole, he continues to croak that he will use authoritarian measures to lock down the US economy, throwing millions more out of work, if he can find scientists who will tell him it’s a good idea because COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention admits that the most overhyped illness of all time has been even more overhyped than we knew: Table 3 shows the types of health conditions and contributing causes mentioned in conjunction with deaths involving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death.
That’s why the vast majority of coronavirus fatalities are elderly. The disease mostly kills people who are potentially dying of some other serious condition.
That doesn’t mean the other 94% would be dead now anyway. It does mean that we need to put the risk in perspective.
The very old and those with preexisting conditions need to be protected. Seeding nursing homes with COVID-19 patients—as was done under the Democrat governors of New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey—must never happen.
But shutting down the economy is economic sabotage.
