(Natural News) Although this story sounds like an urban legend, it isn’t. We’ve confirmed this from a huge number of sources: For the last several months, strange packages that appear to be from China are being delivered via the US Postal Service (USPS) to Americans all across the country, hitting people in at least six states so far. These packages often contain seeds of unknown origin, but several packages are described as containing counterfeit US currency or pandemic protective equipment such as masks or latex gloves. The packages, all of which contain a return address of “China Post,” are untrackable under USPS tracking systems and are labeled as containing “jewelry” or “earrings.” The packages are being shipped to specific individuals in the United States, using their names, addresses and phone numbers. Yet none of these people have placed orders of such products, according to dozens of complaints that have been filed with the US Postal Service and USDA. One package, shown below, was received by a citizen in Austin, TX: The Virginia Dept. of Agriculture is warning that these seeds may pose a danger to the crop integrity of the United States of America. From their July 24th press release: The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) has been notified that several Virginia residents have received unsolicited packages containing seeds that appear to have originated from China. The types of seeds in the packages are unknown at this time and may be invasive plant species. The packages were sent by mail and may have Chinese writing on them. Invasive species wreak havoc on the environment, displace or destroy native plants and insects and severely damage crops. Taking steps to prevent their introduction is the most effective method of reducing both the risk of invasive species infestations and the cost to control and mitigate those infestations. Via HotspringsVillagePeople.com: According to the Arkansas Department of Agriculture, residents of several states have reported that they received packets of seeds in the mail with writing on the outside that appears to be Chinese. While it is not known yet the precise species of the seeds, there is speculation that they could be seeds of an invasive species. If you should receive an unsolicited package of seeds in the mail, the Arkansas Department of Agriculture asks that you do not open the package or plant any unsolicited seeds.
