PORTLAND, OR – Nothing screams world-class parenting more than having your toddler say “fuck the police,” on camera while hoisting a sign displaying the same phrase. While that was obviously a tad sarcastic, the mentioned scenario recently happened in Portland. Mothers walked with their sweet little girls and literally paraded them around with cameras in their faces, telling them to repeat the phrase “fuck the police.” They had homemade signs with different renderings of the phrase as well. One little girl is trained already to do a “power to the people,” or “black power” Black Panther fist raise gesture. Now, imagine, if you would, the outrage that would happen if perhaps a toddler was coached into saying a slogan defaming another group of professionals. Maybe construction workers, fast food employees, or even teachers. I mean, despite nearly 500 teachers arrested for sexual abuse in 2015, and reports of 7% of 8th grade to 11th graders getting unwanted sexual contact from an educator – we don’t see signs saying “all teachers are rapists.” Yet, these parents in Portland think it’s cute or cheeky to have their kids holding signs saying “fuck the police.” Within the short video clip, there’s also a sign that spells out “eff Trump’s Goons,” which is likely in reference to the fact that President Trump authorized the deployment of federal troops to protect the likes of federal property and restore order in Portland. However, the city of Portland is now going on over day 50 of riots, vandalism, looting, setting fires, and overall violence against police and federal officers now at this point. President Trump has been rightfully critical toward the ongoing criminal activity in Portland, and has voiced his desire to restore order quickly due to the failed local leadership.
