The NBA, NFL, and MLB have all been coopted by the radical left, and currently serve primarily as platforms for Marxist/black supremacist propaganda. What about the NHL? Almost all the players are white, since blacks don’t play hockey. Maybe it can escape absorption into the Black Lives Matter Borg. Then again, maybe not: The 32nd NHL franchise will be called the Seattle Kraken, team owners announced Thursday morning. Owner David Bonderman: “We know that the past few months have posed an unprecedented change in all our lives with many interesting moments.” The reference must be to Seattle succumbing to anarchy in the name of Black Lives Matter. “We have listened to our community and our fans to create a brand that is the image of who we want to be as an organization.” That image entails explicit racism: The team will donate all proceeds from net sales of merchandise through August 21 to nonprofits YouthCare, Community Passageways, and the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, which work to end youth homelessness and create opportunities for BIPOC youth. BIPOC means “black, indigenous, and other people of color” — i.e., anyone who isn’t a hated Caucasian. The Kraken will play in Climate Pledge Arena. The Krak House has been suggested as a nickname. Poster Comment: The kraken is a legendary cephalopod-like sea monster of gigantic size in Scandinavian folklore. According to the Norse sagas, the kraken dwells off the coasts of Norway and Greenland and terrorizes nearby sailors. Don't these fools know that they are appropriating Norse culture?

I almost forgot what movie that was from. It was one of Ray Harryhausen's last feature films. He perfected the stop-motion technique used to animate the monsters - pretty scary stuff at that time, especially for 11-12 year-old kids jacked up on pure sugar-sweetened soda pop in the early to mid '60s. The Blob was another pretty scary movie especially the scene where the Blob oozes out from the projection booth. When I was watching, half the audience in the theater turned around to look. LOL!
