This is the official video for "Fire On The Moon." The song originally appeared on GRAND FURY. The video was made several years later when the song was re-released as part of MEET THE BELLRAYS on Poptones. This is the cleanest version as it is from the PAL tape we had converted to digital. Do not try to adjust your screen - this is made this way on purpose.

I hear Ramones, Tina Turner, some Billy Zoom, (from "X" ) guitar... The band is like Aretha Franklin fronting the MC5 or Etta James singing with the Stooges.
First thing I heard out of the gate was def Ramones (without the "OneTwoThreeFo'")
Always liked this one: Great guitar solos, surprised the bassist was playing a 4-string Fender Precision. Wonder if it's tuned down a step. The Smithereens did that a lot on their songs. Hey Lib - The Smithereens are from Joisey, ever listened to them? Another NJ band I like is The Grip Weeds. One more for fun:
Tell ya what -- you hit on a couple more winners. Thanks -- I'm surprised. 'The Real You' by the Dance Hall Crashers has a real catchy hook that's earworm material; I actually listened twice to it. The Grip Weeds 'Evey Minute of It' featured nice guitar work, good effort, very listenable after a cup of coffee. 'The Smithereens'. Yep. One bandmember lived in my north NJ home town and was said to throw yuge parties every year. Of course Smitereens' epic ditty is, Behind The Wall Of Sleep (You guy ever listen to this? Music/lyrics had a good 60s vibe.) "She had hair like Jeannie Shrimpton..." Tower of Power's ditty is a bit to "uptown" for me -- though the brass section was excellent.

"Behind The Wall of Sleep" Well she held a bass guitar and she was playing in a band The bassist in the song who Pat was smitten with was Kim Ernst from a Boston band called The Bristols.
