Listening to music and "School's Out" by Alice Cooper came on. Interesting song for the kids these days, I wondered if the song's popularity has seen a coronavirus boost.
So this pops up when I search "school's out alice cooper" in Yahoo:

I can tell you this much: He has played Ghost material in a ghoul suit. And he might or might have not have [performed onstage], and he might or might not in the future.” He laughs. “How’s that for a commercial cliffhanger?”
In case you are unfamiliar with the band "Ghost" - they are an occult heavy metal band.

From the time the group was formed in 2006, the real identity of each member remains unknown. In an interview with one of the Nameless Ghouls, concealing their identities is purposely done to let their audience focus on their music and artwork instead of the members.
Aside from their appearances, the most noticeable thing about Ghost’s music is the blatant use of satanic lyrics infused with ideas of the devil, doomsday, blasphemy, sexuality, etc. In a website dedicated to the group, Ghost is described as a “devil worshipping ministry” that uses pop rock music to achieve their ends that is; “to glorify and glamorize the disgusting and sacrilegious” and “to majestically weave their melodic spell of evil through the senses until the listener finds themselves utterly possessed and open to any diabolical suggestion.”
OK, so I like Foo Fighters, saw them perform at the Gorge in Washington, but this kinda blew my mind, then I realized it's not really surprising.
Any band that is played on the radio is involved with the occult in some way or another.

Absolutely the case; Well worth repeating and saving.
Now compare the above description of much of the commercial contemporary music content and dark messaging to that of the "Sunshine Pop" and lyrics of the 60s and early 70s that "glorified" peace, love and harmony.
These poor kids and young people of today. Lord help them.

I guess I've had sort of a blind spot, thinking Foo Fighters were different, you know, separate from all that occult stuff.
Kinda like Stone (no offense) refusing to believe that some of his favorite HM bands are Satanic.

You can still find bands making similar music today - none of them will get airplay until they sell their souls.
Love this song - reminiscent of the Phil Spector "Wall of Sound" recordings from the 60's.

You're right -- it's as though this ditty were dusted off from the 60s! Lisa Mycols. Her voice is reminiscent of the 90s gal-group Wilson Philips.
Within this song, composition and production I hear many typical elements from the times; The intro is 'Pretty Woman'-like. Yep, similar to a Phil Spector-type wall of sound production with all the familiar bells and driving drums; A Rickenbacker-like isolated guitar; a Gary Lewis and the Playboys ('Just My Style' outro), some Monkees, some Beach Boys, some Lesley Gore & 60s girl-group type vocals, and background vocals and harmonies. Even the lyrics could come right out of 1964.
Wish the 60s-70s like stuff could return. But... you're absolutely right. Nobody is allowed to "make it" commercially unless they are willing to sell their soul for it and be one of "them". I know, I know -- it sound like a movie script. ( Maybe because art imitates indeed life -- and just maybe movie scripts are indeed using the reality's themes as the script.)
