Worse still, for the bored and silly, the wannabee militia types with their dime store AR-15 rifles and Mattel holsters showed up, a few hundred at least, spewing their Jew and gay hating crap or “get rid of the Negroes and foreigners” riff. Think “Oklahoma City.” Before being disbanded the first time, the Michigan Militia had more FBI agents “members” than Quantico. The assertion, of many from rural areas, is that COVID should be allowed to “burn through” no matter how many deaths. This seems to have been Trump’s plan also, no on purpose but rather because he dropped the ball for 7 weeks playing politics.

FACT CHECK: Hospitals Were NOT Blocked During ‘Operation Gridlock’ Protest at the Michigan Capitol The Michigan Conservative Coalition, the primary organization behind the protest, issued a post after receiving word from a nurse who reported back to the group about what was happening at Sparrow Hospital. “Put something out there that sparrow hospital entrances are NOT being blocked and that emergency vehicles can freely move throughout. Some people on fb are saying that the entrances are being blocked and emergency vehicles can’t get through. I know that’s not the case,” they wrote in a Facebook post. Bridge Magazine reporter Riley Beggin confirmed that the MCC’s anecdote was in fact legitimate. She noted that the Sparrow entrance was not blocked off and remained freely accessible throughout the protest.
There are multiple photos posted on social media showed an ambulance stuck in the middle of the gridlocked traffic around the hospital. Another photo showed a pickup with a large “Michigan Proud Boys” banner blocking the entrance. Yet another photo showed a doctor out in the middle of the stopped traffic, pleading with drivers to clear a path for the ambulance. Somebody is lying here – and I don’t believe the “photos” are doing the lying.

The Michigan Proud Boys organized a blockade of the intersection at a green light outside Sparrow Hospital. A doctor came out of the hospital to plead with them to let the ambulances through. If it walks like a duck … It looks like a blockade to me. See photos here.
