Legendary 11th Century Spanish patriot El Cid (Charlton Heston), who fights to drive invading Moors from Spain. He has a seductive but duplicitous lover Chimene (Sophia Loren). However, their love is tested to its limits when he kills her father, she vows vengeance and he sets out on a crusade to rid Spain of its aggressors.
From the initial movie dialogue (FULL MOVIE, below), Moslem leader Emir Yosef, bellows to his troops:

First of all, Happy Easter!
They don't make 'em like this any more. Movies like this should not be forgotten.
'El Cid' represents the kind of magnificent 1950s-early 1960s Hollywood epics that were once made for a public that especially paid homage to the history, roots and heritage of Western Civilization.
Film audiences for this brief era were extremely respected and inspired by Hollywood's film-makers and producers. They created high-budget spirited stories and accounts, embellished by spectacular soundtracks and composers (Miklos Rozsa), breathtaking scenery, included casts of thousands, and memorable performances -- notably by the iconic Charlton Heston.
El Cid was a true epic. It's run-time clocks in at over 3 hours long, back when (if any of you are old enough to recall) there was actually a thing called, "INTERMISSION".
This movie is FREE TO WATCH.
On a final note and observation...
The opening dialog by the Moslem general was especially interesting and ironic. Nothing about Islam's philosophy and goal of world dominance via murder and violence has ever changed; Nor has it's focus and pledge to forfeit advances in the sciences, arts, and humanities changed.
El Cid and those who have sacrificed to remain free for a thousand years have been betrayed by traitors as rabid Islamists have been embedded as they infest the bosom of Western, post-"Christian" Europe -- an imminent time-bomb in the making.
Who is responsible for this betrayal?
Are they they the one and same un-named, Globalist shadow-elites (Illuminati, Freemasonic 33's) who've been steadily undermining and destroying Western Civ, our culture, our families?; Undermining Truth, Freedom, and personal & national sovereignty at every turn?
Are they the one & same traitors and Globalists puppetmeisters who've created Event 201, executed and orchestrated a "Pandemic," shut down the world's economies, and as their Final Solution, plan to infect everyone with Trojan Horse "viruses" AND the "cure", i.e. mandatory infected VACCINES?
My further, final point (which ties into the "invited" millions of Islamists into Western nations under the "Refugee" hoax/Trojan Horse):
For nearly thousand years, an original mandate has endured. One that has encouraged Moslem culture to forfeit all its former constructive human endeavors (science, poetry, the arts, life-itself) in the name of death, destruction, war, and World Domination, and ultimate the goal of spreading worship of Allah as THE one and only "God".
Skeptics of "coincidences" note that Western "leaders" and their "shadow" governance of elites are neither Christian OR Moslem; but instead, occultists, adherents of "Mystery Religions," whose agenda isn't actually much different than the opposition of El Cid back in 1086 AD and beyond.
Since 1913, haven't these very same Globalists-Elites:
1) Stolen our "Free Press" and message? 2) Stolen our currency & controlled and deflated our money and supply? 3) Stolen and destroyed our representative government? 4) Stolen our blood, sweat, liberty, and lives? 5) Created TWO mega- world wars, causing hundreds of millions of deaths, casualties and human misery? 6) Stolen & destroyed UNTOLD numbers of beneficial inventions? 7) Confiscated citizenry GOLD (see FDR) 8) Drafted, enlisted and interrupted the lives of millions of young men (mostly poorer) solely NOT to "defend" the USA from invasion, but to sacrifice their lives in order to fight, bleed and die constantly for never-ending contrived wars, for corporate/elites profiteering, and orchestrated, bogus reasons? 9) Exposed untold millions of citizenry AND US troops to radioactive fall-out and many unexplained, odd afflictions, disease from the early 1950s till TODAY? 10) Now in the year 2020, aren't these same Elites' acting with impunity as they CRUSH, RESTRICT & DESTROY our Economies, Health, MOVEMENTS AND Freedoms?
