I'll defer to real epidemiologists on this (not the corrupt WHO turdworld Marxist from Chinese-owned Ethernopia) and I think he's got a point, but from a practical standpoint I support the "flatten the curve" thinking to reduce the crushing load on our medical infrastructure.
We have to remember the real people who are leaving their families every day to drag themselves in to work to serve those who have fallen ill, from this or any number of other unrelated things.
Yes, sooner or later we'll all encounter this, just like we encounter other flavors of the flu and colds, but I don't see the point in everybody rushing into exposure all at once, unless you find an eventual need to triage the entire population an appealing prospect.
Let's lighten their load a little bit and keep our distances for a couple of weeks, ok?
