In the never-ending War on Terror, Big Brother has proven time and again that it has no shame when it comes to creating suspicion or the illusion of terror where there is none.
The University of Texas at Austin’s (UT) Jester Center for Housing and Dining has decided that the best way to celebrate their 50th anniversary is to encourage students and faculty to report people to the police.
Our Vision is to create transformative living and learning environments where students feel safe, involved and inspired to change the world.
And what better way to create a “transformative living environment” than to reward students and faculty with free pizzas for sending crime tips to the police.
The University of Texas at Austin, Police Department’s (UTPD) “Safer By The Slice” program, explains that crime tips do not have to lead to an arrest to qualify for a free pizza.
This program simply is our way of thanking UT community members for helping us keep the campus safe. Maybe your call is to a report a medical situation and you save a life. Our officers will use this program to reward you for your quick action. Rewards are based on officer discretion.
In other words, law enforcement and the UT are encouraging students and faculty to report on innocent people for free pizzas.

The UTPD claims their Surveillance By The Slice program, as I like to call it, has been very successful saying, “Staff and faculty have proven to be a fantastic resource for us.”
Staff and faculty have become a fantastic resource? Why not just come right out and say what everyone is thinking. Staff and faculty have proven to be a fantastic resource for surveilling everyone when law enforcement is not around.
The Daily Texan revealed that the “Safer By The Slice” program was originally called “Hungry for Justice.”
Are students and faculty hungry for a pizza justice? If so, then please report suspicious students or faculty members to the police even if they have not committed a crime.

Police think it is fun to bribe people with free food,
“It’s fun for the officers because we get to meet the party who saved the day and buy them lunch, and it gets the word out a little bit,” UTPD officer Dustin Farahnak said. “We would like to see a lot more reports than that. I’d be happy to do this every single day.”
According to The Daily Texan, the UTPD renamed “Hungry For Justice” to encourage more people to report on each other.
To encourage more students to report crime, the department is both rebranding and expanding the program, UTPD spokesperson Noelle Newton said. It is now called Safer by the Slice.

The above video, “We Are The UTPD” is particularly worrisome because it shows the UTPD patrolling Austin’s city streets.
On November 20th, the UTPD is holding their #PizzaWithPolice event at the Pizza Press. One cannot help but wonder how long it will be before the Austin Police Department begins offering residents free pizzas in exchange for crime tips.
Selling out your fellow man for a free pizza is a hallmark of a police state that rewards people for spying on one another. In 2020 the War on Terror will be 19 years old, so when are we going to demand an end to this madness?
