2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works"
So If all scripture is true then.....
1 Chronicles 16:30 "the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved."
Psalm 96:10 "the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved"
Psalm 93:1 "the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved."
It's pretty clear the bible says we aren't moving...
1 Samuel 2:8 " for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them."
Job 9:6 "Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble."
Psalm 75:3 "The earth and all who dwell in it melt; It is I who have firmly set its pillars."
Matthew 4:8 "Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them"
Isaiah 52:8 "...for every eye will see when the Lord returns..."
Revelation 1:7 "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him"
All impossible on a ball, and only works on a flat earth.
Matthew 24:29 "...the stars shall fall from heaven"
Mark 13:25 "...and the stars of heaven shall fall"
Revelation 6:13 "And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth..."
Jesus himself told us the stars would fall to the earth. If what we have been taught about stars is true, how can this be? Why would Jesus say something that wasn't true if he himself is "The Truth".
Ezekiel 1:25 "And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads,"
Ezekiel 1:26 "And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne"
Genesis 1:6 "And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters."
Job 26:10 "He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end."
Definition of Compass - to go around (something) in a circular course. Definition of Bounds - a limiting line : boundary
We call the bounds Job is referring to Antarctica.... it is also the ends of the earth. (It's also "south") ----------------------------------------------------------
Isaiah 40:22 "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth"
Isaiah knew the difference in a circle and a ball.
Isaiah 22:18 "And roll you tightly like a ball, To be cast into a vast country"
Genesis 1:14-17 "The Fourth Day" "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth"
So if God created the entire universe on the fourth day (sun, moon, and stars), then what the heck were we orbiting on the first three days? How fast were we going? 1,913,785mph? Or maybe God put the Earth in gear after creating the rest of the Universe... To what extent are we willing to disregard scripture to fit what we are being told by people that clearly worship Lucifer and will no longer let us say the name Jesus?
Joshua 10:12 "...he said in the sight of Israel, "O sun, stand still at Gibeon, And O moon in the valley of Aijalon." So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped"
Nowhere does it say that Joshua told the earth to stop spinning, in fact the bible never refers to the earth ever spinning in the first place. It does however reference the sun moving on 67 different occasions.
That's 67 moving sun verses and Zero moving earth verses for those keeping score at home. The reason for this is that the earth is not moving, and the close sun is circling us over head along with everything else just like the bible says.
Even so, your retort completely dodges his points.
Tyson conveniently wants science, that is; various theories which are continually being revised to be taught and religion ignored. You may not think this is denying God but I have another opinion. God told us how it started, science has not been able to disprove this. The only thing that is challenged is dating based on geneologies but our methods of dating are not very accurate As to falling stars, asteroids, some of which are big enough to be "stars", are falling all the time, noone said the meteor shower of Revelation will happen all at once, but it might.
I think Tyson would serve us better if he examined the events of 3,500 years ago from an astrological perspective. The Bible certainly told us some interesting things were going on

Science can't prove any "science" Tyson claims. His (as well as "Science" and NASA's claims) remain theories.
And yes, I agree -- God indeed gave His account of Creation; Also documented is the dating of man, and his genealogy starting with Adam. Yet "Science" expects the thinking-man to just willy-nilly accept what is it's theory of time, space, and matter as "fact"?? (right -- their "dating" methodologies are notoriously inconsistent, inaccurate, and plain wrong.)
As to falling stars, asteroids, some of which are big enough to be "stars", are falling all the time, noone said the meteor shower of Revelation will happen all at once, but it might.
According to Revelation, 6:12-14, (Sixth Seal unveiled) God appears to unravel the entire sky under the Firmament -- including stars of course.

Humanists and militant Atheists like the cartoonish Tyson believe Carl Sagan is their "god" as well as his magic account of an "expanding universe" made of "billions and billions" of Light Years and yuge stars.

I don't have a problem with an expanding universe, the background microwave radiation is all around us, it doesn't come from some fixed point, or at least not one we have discovered, so God created it and it is expanding, nothing contradictory here. The only issue is the mechanism by which we arrived on earth at this point in time. It is obvious we have not been here very long and we can debate forever how long that is, but I want to know, where is God when he is not talking to me, he hasn't answered that one yet
You believe there is a God Who can create an entire universe...but He cannot create humans? Does the Biblical account of God creating Adam from the dust of the ground seem unbelievable to you?
Did I say that? I don't have the issue, but those who don't believe the Bible. There are many things said in the Bible that we should examine and ask what does this mean?
God does not give us detail, just facts. We are indeed all dust but the statement could have deeper meaning. I'm not going to engage in my theory is better than your theory as Tyson does because I don't have to.
The only issue is the mechanism by which we arrived on earth...
Is Gen.2:7 true...And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Or is there some unknown "mechanism" we should be looking for?

Yes, this is an issue for unbelievers like Tyson who want to believe that they evolved from pond scum. I can believe we arrived here fully formed because there is no fossil evidence we did not.
Do not twist my words but understand God is supreme and it was his purpose to place us here to have dominion over this part of his creation
