‘A carbon-neutral future is the only way we will inherit a planet capable of sustaining life on Earth as we know it’ Actor and activist Leonardo DiCaprio appeared Saturday at the MSNBC-broadcast Global Citizens Festival, where he inveighed against President Trump, and critics of the youth climate activist movement. The “Titanic” star said leaders like President Trump are “gambling away” our future. “Our leaders, those whom we entrust to protect us and set the example, are either failing to stop these dangerous trends or, in some cases, denying the very science of this climate catastrophe," DiCaprio said in an obvious dig at Trump. DiCaprio said that unless the entire world goes “carbon neutral,” all life on planet Earth will die. "And make no mistake, our scientific communities has already spoken: The facts are clear. Unless you live in an alternate reality, there’s no more time for denial,” DiCaprio said. “A carbon-neutral future is the only way we will inherit a planet capable of sustaining life on Earth as we know it." The actor also had words for critics of Greta Thunberg’s “Climate Strike” movement. "While our leaders continue to deny the science, I can tell you one thing for certain — the youth is not,” DiCaprio said. "Last Friday young people led the world in strike. Millions of brave individuals did more than simply walk out of their schools and places of employment, they took a stand. They set an example of true leadership that we so desperately need right now.” “Yet surprisingly,” he said, ”some have reacted to this movement with insulting Tweets and negative talking points. Individuals that seem to care more about profit and their own self-interests than about your future.“ But this “Climate Strike” movement, DiCaprio said, “ is more important and crucial than at any time in human history.”

With the remedy the lunatics want to impose on us we won't have to go to movie theatres to watch their propagandist movies. No electricity. If Decaprio feels strongly he should throw his hat in the political ring, nominate for President and lead the way from the front. No, this coward leads from the rear, not putting his fortune at risk with a political campaign
DiCaprio is big environmental player. He gives $2M to one group, $7M to another, donates $15M to ocean/coral projects. He also flies around constantly preaching climate doom. Apparently such prophets aren't expected to conserve any carbon-based fuels themselves. Not everyone is as aware of DiCaprio's resort down in Belize that opened in 2018, under development for a number of years. This resort and all its mini-mansions are only a matter of feet above sea level which means that DiCaprio isn't actually worried that the oceans are going to rise any time soon.

Well, could be another way to look at it, by DeCrapio. He bought an island 10 years ago, and the global warming will raise the ocean levels somewhat. By the looks at that toothpick shaped island, it doesn’t look like he can afford to have any water rise. So, the dumb shit is creating hysteria. Or... he’s looking for free government money to subsidize his overhead.
Well, maybe the truth is a lot simpler than that. He did make a bunch of money with that teen movie near the beautiful coral reefs on that remote island in the Pacific. This was DiCrapio's breakout role, the one that got him the role in Titanic which made him filthy rich and a world celebrity. Then everyone decided how great it looked in the movie and tourist mobs wanted to go there. So they did, and they've trampled the coral, busted it up dropping boat anchors on it, and poisoning it with sunscreen runoff. So, given the destruction of the coral reef as a result of it being featured in a teenage movie with DiCaprio, it became a natural source of his activism as an adult star. Anyway, those factors are part of how DiCaprio became such an oceanic activist which is a distinct branch of environmentalism. DiCrapio seems to have an almost exclusive franchise as the official designated Spokesman of the Coral Reefs. And this despite the fact that his crappy teen heartthrob beach movie is what has actually led directly to the destruction of those same pristine reefs when the tourist mobs all just had to go where the movie was made and take some selfies and drink so much that they can stand to have sex with each other.
Very plausible. I like the way you think. Though DiCrapio is a libtard, I still keep The Wolf of Wall Street as one of my favorite movies. Everything Quentin Tarantino does, I like.

These villas will each cost in the millions, almost all of them built only a few feet above sea-level. Usually you don't build $100 million in luxury homes if you think they'll get flooded in the next decade or two.
DiCaprio purchased the island a decade ago, describing it then as “like heaven on earth,” and is slated to open the 104-acre Blackadore Caye resort in 2018. The property will reportedly feature 36 residential homes and 36 villas, will be powered by solar energy, use a composted waste system, as well as feature programs to support the manatee population and a planned mangrove-tree reforestation initiative to replace invasive species.
