Police reactions like this (FOR NO FREAKIN’ logical reason) is completely off-the-charts INSANE. Talk about TERRORIST activity caught on camera.

Good thing this guy recorded the incident or we would never know about it.

ALWAYS record the police!

UTTERLY INSANE Militarized Traffic Stop in Harrisburg PA

Dishonorable cowards, all of them.

But perhaps not quite as “dishonorable cowards” as were “all of the” ”40 Vermont priests accused by the church of child sex abuse” – Eh?

Video Narrator: “… unconstitutional overreach …”
How was this traffic stop an “unconstitutional overreach?"
Video Narrator: “… [the officers] disregard for their oath to the Constitution.”
How did the officers show complete “disregard for their oath to the Constitution” when they obeyed departmental procedures and broke no laws?

This is yet another case of someone using emotive language in their "language-persuasive technique" as rhetoric to influence an audience by using words and phrases with strong connotations associated with them in order to invoke an emotional response and exploit stereotypes.

And some people continually fall into the entrapment by its use.

Sad …

I'm not sure what the priests have to do with the police who conducted this traffic stop.

Those priests are out-and-out monsters, as are those who are protecting them. Prison for life, no parole.

I am not sure how you can watch a video and describe the police officers as “dishonorable cowards” when the violated no departmental procedures or broke any laws.

So this situation now leaves us both unsure of something …

I'm focusing just on the "we're on camera" (run!) part of the video.

I call upon your many years serving our country as a law enforcement officer to use your judgment and answer when I ask if this video shows police officers reacting to a “shot fired from a moving vehicle” was an overreaction – all the while considering the propensity of copycat shootings and remembering the Texas incident of shooting from a vehicle that let 7 dead and 21 injured.

Of is this video is just another of the many complied to cast bad light by cop haters on law enforcement?

It is to be noted that the narrator showed in no way were departmental guidelines disobeyed or laws broken.

I'm focusing just on the "we're on camera" (run!) part of the video.

Just saying “we’re on camera” after the car had been visually searched and walking to the rear of the vehicle where the individual was then being detained for questioning made all of the officers performing their duty as outlined by departmental policy and complying with all laws be a lot of “dangerous cowards?”

You are entitled to your subjective opinion, of course.

While I am entitled to fail to understand how you subjectively made such a demeaning classification.

There is really nothing more I can discuss on this subject with you.

I therefore, I sincerely thank you for your time and for your responses.

It's apparent that Harrisburg has entirely too many cops! Many of those responding should be fired. and the remaining force need to be lectured about not flexing their firepower.

It's apparent …
… that “you reacted” in exactly the manner the producers of this video “programmed you” to react.

This was no “routine traffic stop” when the officer casually strolls up to the driver’s window and says “may I see your driver’s license and vehicle registration, please.”

This was a "felony high-risk traffic stop” which …

… occurs when police stop a vehicle which they have strong reason to believe contains a driver or passenger suspected of having committed a serious crime, especially of a nature that would lead the police to believe the suspects may be armed (such as an armed robbery, assault with a weapon, or an outstanding felony warrant for the registered owner). In a high risk stop, officers attempt to provide their own safety by issuing instructions to maintain absolute control over every step of the proceedings.

They will have additional officers on scene for back-up, often waiting for additional officers to join up before initiating the stop. They will typically have their weapons drawn, and stay back from the suspect vehicle, using their patrol cars for cover. If there is no choice but to make the stop on a busy street, then they will often stop traffic. They will address the driver and any passengers over the PA speaker of the patrol car, typically instructing the driver to turn the engine off, remove the keys from the ignition, and sometimes toss them out the window. They will instruct the occupants, one at a time, to exit the vehicle with empty hands showing, place their hands on top of or behind their heads, walk backwards some distance, and then lie flat on the ground, where they will remain until all occupants have done likewise, at which point officers will move up, apply handcuffs, do a body search and then secure the suspects in the patrol cars. The vehicle is then typically searched for weapons and other evidence in accordance with the arresting department's standard operating procedures ("S.O.P.'s").

Based on your evaluation of the situation where you determined …
…it's apparent that Harrisburg has entirely too many cops! Many of those responding should be fired. and the remaining force need to be lectured about not flexing their firepower –
– can you now please use your expertise and tell everyone in your “expert opinion” exactly how “many cops” are supposed to respond "felony high-risk traffic stop” with a “shot fired” call in. Is it a limited number – or – are all available officers supposed to respond to a to a call of this nature?

Thank you …

Gatlin

That’s a by the book, “felony car stop”. Nothing unusual. The officers appeared to be trained well.

As far as “too many police”. That’s horse shit. If LE felt there was a need to felony stop a vehicle, then every on duty patrolling officer will respond to the traffic stop, as an officer safety issue. Until officers know the felony stop is officer safe, contained or even the wrong car, you could never have too many officers.

I am not sure what was the cause for the felony stop. If a gun was suspected in the vehicle, or just used (shot out of a vehicle), then it was handled correctly, regardless of a gun was found or it turned out to be the wrong vehicle.

The fact that Mr. Bang was recording from the get-go, tells me he spends his time trying to set officers up for the purpose of getting people like Dicktard, hard.

Wasn’t long ago that a traffic stop in Texas... turned into a nightmare and like 19 people were shot. When the sick twisted, drug addicted asshole sheep act like that, expect LE to change their training to provide the police SELF DEFENSE.

Thank you for your detailed and informative response.

This video is a textbook example of how someone can intentionally control the minds of others by taking a factually correct procedure and channel the thought process of others by presenting it in a ridiculous light to make it appear that it is an overly zealous uncontrolled act.

It plays on the psychological emotions these “believers” can’t tolerate and the result is forming a condemning opinion on something that they wouldn't have done without the effect of these emotions.

It shows that certain emotions can be induced in someone and when he finds that he can’t tolerate these emotions he does that thing that he wouldn’t have done otherwise – he reacts to the mind control in the manner he has just been programmed to do.

It is ever so easy to protect yourself for all of these methods of control by watching out for the controlled method emotions people try to induce in you and stop the involuntary programmed response to them.

Some folks need to start thinking and stop reacting …

Gatlin

Well. I believe an armed personnel carrier, no, several armed personnel carriers and at least a battalion of armed officers. In a case like this the driver should have been shot at the outset.

If you want to be happier and improve your relationships, cut out sarcasm. Why? Because sarcasm is actually hostility disguised as humor. Despite smiling outwardly, many people who receive sarcastic comments feel put down and often think the sarcastic person is a jerk. Indeed, it’s not surprising that the origin of the word sarcasm derives from the Greek word “sarkazein” which literally means “to tear or strip the flesh off.” Hence, it’s no wonder that sarcasm is often preceded by the word “cutting” and that it hurts.

What’s more, since actions strongly determine thoughts and feelings, when a person consistently acts sarcastically it may only serve to heighten his or her underlying hostility and insecurity. After all, when you come right down to it, sarcasm can be used as a subtle form of bullying—and most bullies are angry, insecure, or cowardly. Alternatively, when a person stops voicing negative comments, especially sarcastic and critical ones, he or she may soon start to feel happier and more self-confident. Also, the other people in his or her life benefit even faster because they no longer have to hear the emotionally hurtful language of sarcasm.

Now, I’m not saying all sarcasm is bad. It may just be better used sparingly— like a potent spice in cooking. Too much of the spice, and the dish will be overwhelmed by it. Similarly, an occasional dash of sarcastic wit can spice up a chat and add an element of humor to it. But a big or steady serving of sarcasm will overwhelm the emotional flavor of any conversation and can taste very bitter to its recipient.

So, tone down the sarcasm and work on clever wit instead which is usually devoid of hostility and thus more appreciated by those you’re communicating with. In essence, sarcasm is easy (as is most anger, criticism and meanness) while true, harmless wit takes talent.

Thus, the main difference between wit and sarcasm is that, as already stated, sarcasm is often hostility disguised as humor. It can be intended to hurt, and is often bitter and caustic. Witty statements are usually in response to someone’s unhelpful remarks or behaviors, and the intent is to unravel and clarify the issue by accentuating its absurdities. Sarcastic statements are expressed in a cutting manner; witty remarks are delivered with undisguised and (usually) harmless humor.

And don't hesitate to tell others that you don't appreciate their sarcastic comments, either.

Remember: Think well, act well, feel well, be well!

Think Sarcasm is Funny? Think Again.

Salute,
Gatlin
