Here’s a video taken by a guy out for a ride on his bicycle who finds himself getting unwanted attention by an armed government worker who pulls him over for no apparent (legal) reason and then begins making up laws – such as a requirement to possess and produce ID; there is no such requirement for bicyclists. The AGW also spouts off about supposed equipment violations; basically trying to come up with something to Hut! Hut! Hut! the man over. Or at least, something to mulct him over. Worth mentioning here is the fact that the man on the bicycle is a middle-aged white guy wearing middle-aged white guy clothes; just a reminder that AGWs don’t have any more respect for white lives than they do for black ones. The only thing they care about is that we respect their Authority. Which we might actually do, if they deserved it. But when AGWs flagrantly flout the law – and are not held to account for flouting it, even when the evidence is incontrovertible (as here) then they have earned nothing but contempt.
Poster Comment: (625 ILCS 5/) Illinois Vehicle Code. Every bicycle when in use at nighttime shall be equipped with a lamp on the front which shall emit a white light visible from a distance of at least 500 feet to the front and with a red reflector on the rear of a type approved by the Department which shall be visible from all distances from 100 feet to 600 feet to the rear when directly in front of lawful lower beams of headlamps on a motor vehicle, except that a lamp emitting a steady or flashing red light visible from a distance of 500 feet to the rear may be used in addition to or instead of the red reflector.
